PREVIOUSLY…
Transformers appeared on Earth back in ancient times – and now the Decepticons are raiding ancient landmarks, searching for something the old Transformers left! Behind this lies the Fallen, a demonic former Prime! Sector Seven is investigating the relics and the Autobots & NEST face the Decepticons… except now the giant Devastator has been unleashed!


PAGE 1.

1. Cardiff Bay – and the looming Devastator slams his fist down, almost squashing Mudflap and Skids! Gunfire pings off Devastator’s head!

CAPTION
Cardiff Bay… is getting devastated!

MUDFLAP
ARRRRG! Nothing can --

SKIDS!
-- stop it! Tactical withdrawal!

MUDFLAP
Yeah, RUN!



PAGE 2.

1. The other Autobots (bar the Aerialbots) fire their guns in a row.

IRONHIDE
No combiner should be able to handle this much firepower!

ARCEE (PINK)
Must be a new breed! Still, doesn’t seem to have any weapon-

SFX
BARAKAKAKAKAAKA
BRRTTTTTT
CHOOOM CHOOM

2. A horrific blast from Devastator (off-panel) tears through the purple Arcee! The other two scream!

ARCEES
-rARRRRRR!

3. Devastator opens his mouth wide, sucking air (and dirt in)…

4. The Autobots brace themselves, larger ones holding the smaller ones. Armorhide, still firing his gun, is starting to slip…

OPTIMUS
Some kind of cyclone attack – everyone brace, heavier Autobots grab the lighter-

LINK
Armorhide, get back here!

ARMORHIDE
We can’t let Devastator dominate the battle, we have to-

5. Armorhide is sucked away towards Devastator!!

ARMORHIDE
KeeeeeEEEEEE-

6. Close-up – Devastator’s mouth slams shut. Armorhide’s gun-holding arm, bitten off at the elbow, falls from it.

SFX
CHOMP!

1. Tight panel – Optimus barks out a command. Skyblast is transforming to jet mode.

OPTIMUS PRIME
Aerialbots – cease bodyguard duties and engage Devastator! Skyblast, assist!

SKYBLAST
Wilco!


2. The Aerialbots, in jet modes and in formation, streak towards Devastator.

SILVERBOLT
Skydive, tactics!

SKYDIVE
It appears to be designed for fighting large, ground-based forces, Silverbolt – I recommend splitting up and constant movement…

SILVERBOLT
…so it loses focus! Alright, Aerilabots …

3. The Aerialbots unleash a missile barrage on the annoyed Devastator from multiple angles.

SILVERBOLT
…BRING THE RAIN!

SFX [Devastator]
HRRRAAA!

4. The Aerialbots scatter as Devastator returns fire on two of them – Fireflight transforms to dodge the shots.

FIREFLIGHT
Missed!


5. Back to the ground – Optimus sees to his forces.

OPTIMUS
That should distract Devastator until we find a proper solution.

SKIDS
Can the solution be tactical withdrawal?

BUMBLEBEE
We’ll have to discount using brute force – let’s face it, to this guy…


PAGE 4.

1. Scene change. Agent Simmons in a crowded US city – he’s got his papers to his chest and he’s looking around nervously.

NARRATIVE CAPTION
“…we’re something that can be stepped on!”

CAPTION
They’re watching him. Or someone is. He doesn’t, can’t, know who or how many.

CAPTION
He knows he’s been watched for a fortnight now.

2. Series of split panels. Close ups on people’s mobile phones, ipods, parked cars, Nintendo DS’s…

CAPTION
They could be anywhere.

CAPTION
AnyTHING.


3. Simmons, sweating makes it to a normal-looking car.

CAPTION
He just has to make it to his car and he can get out.

CAPTION
They won’t get Simmons, oh no. You don’t get to be a Sector Seven agent without noticing things…

4. Simmons pauses before getting into his car…

5. …and then runs!

CAPTION
Like how that old scratch on the door and the dents in the bumper have disappeared like they were never there.


6. The car casually drives off after Simmons without anyone noticing anything’s wrong…

1. Back to Cardiff Bay. Devastator’s winds are sucking Fireflight towards his mouth! Skyblast and Airazor fire away at him to no effect!

FIREFLIGHT
Fireflight to anyone – heeeeeelp-

2. Robot mode Air Raid flies in and pulls him to safety! Fireflight looks elated!

FIREFLIGHT
Thanks, Air Raid-

AIR RAID
Don’t get that close, you young idiot!

3. Back to the ground troops. Optimus and Ratchet brain storm.

OPTIMUS
Ratchet – how are combiners co-ordinated?

RATCHET
Their processors connect up into a “group mind”, then shut down their individual personalities.

OPTIMUS (LINK)
Any way of restarting them?

RATCHET (LINK)
Not under these conditions.

OPTIMUS (LINK)
Overwriting the group mind?

4. Ratchet, thinking it through.

RATCHET
Possible, Prime! It’d be difficult, but all we’d need is another combiner…

5. The remaining two Arcee’s drive up.

ARCEE’S (UNISON)
You got one!

LINK
What’s the plan?


PAGE 6.

1. Cut to Simmons on a bus. He looks out the window at his car, following him…

2. He gets off the bus, near a car park – the car is still near…

3. He enters the car park – the car follows…

4. The car enters the car park, headlights on, clearly looking around the parked cars…

5. …and Simmons is hiding behind the one nearest the entrance, his pursuer driving right past him!

6. Simmons dashes back out again…

1. Devastator lunges for Airazor – who, in robot mode, is flying through his fingers and firing a shot into his optics!

AIRAZOR
The bigger they are…!

2. Back on the ground, Arcee’s head is partly open. Ratchet is fiddling with it.

RATCHET
Okay – Hacker, Ishihara, I’m starting to upload the coding for Arcee’s combination form…

3. Sky Link’s Op Room. Hacker X-3 has rows of coding on his chest screen. His head is plugged in to a computer Dr Ishihara is working on.

CAPTION
Sky Link’s Ops.

HACKER
Receiving you, guy!

HACKER
How about you, Doc?

ISHIHARA
Silence, please. If I’m to turn this into a virus…

4. Devastator shoots Fireflight out of the sky! A visibly panicked robot-mode Air Raid is flying towards him.


NARRATIVE CAPTION
“…and in time…”

FIREFLIGHT
YAAARG!

AIR RAID
No!! I told you not to -!!

5. Ishihara close-up. She’s sweating.

ISHIHARA
I’m going to need to concentrate.

1. Airazor and Air Raid divebomb Devastator.

CAPTION
Time passes…

2. Later – Devastator swipes Skyblast out of the sky!

CAPTION
…and passes…

3. Skydive and Silverbolt in formation.

SKYDIVE
We’re out of missiles – we lose one more ‘bot and we’ll lack the firepower to distract him!

SILVERBOLT
Prime, this is Silverbolt – you’ve got five minutes maximum before he’s heading your way again!

4. A NEST paratrooper – let’s call him Zurawski - appears over the Autobot ranks, a sack strapped to him.

ZURAWSKI
Corporal Zurawski, Alpha Team! The Sky Link sent me -

OPTIMUS
Excellent!

5. Optimus points to Knock Out, Bumblebee and Sideswipe. Knock Out is a bit worried.

OPTIMUS
Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Knock Out -

LINK
- you’re our fastest, so you’re up!

KNOCK OUT (thought bubble)

1. Zurawski hands out fancy-looking pronged memory sticks to the three Autobots.

NARRATIVE CAPTION
“This computer virus should override Devastator’s combiner-programming with Arcee’s…”

2. Sideswipe, Bumblebee, and Knock Out zoom off down the Bay in vehicle mode!

NARRATIVE CAPTION
“…but it needs to be installed manually!”

KNOCK OUT (thought bubble)
I’m not gonna fail I’m not gonna fail -

3. Devastator turns his head towards “us”, while a panicked Airazor fires on him.

AIRAZOR
Airazor to ground crew – Devastator’s noticed you, I repeat, Devastator’s noticed -

SFX
HRRRR?

4. Devastator unleashes his winds, throwing up sand and debris and blowing Sideswipe into the air! Bumblebee and Knock Out barely avoid!

SFX
SWSSSSH!

KNOCK OUT
Now she tells us!

1. Bumblebee unsheathes guns in his car form, and fires away.

BUMBLEBEE
Knock Out – I’ve got greater firepower, I’ll distract him!

LINK
Go!

2. Bumblebee transforms and leaps as Devastator fires on him!

3. Knock Out, now under Devastator’s head, zooms towards a foot…

KNOCK OUT (thought balloon)
You can do this you can do this you can do this….

4. Knock Out transforms and leaps at Devastator’s foot as it rises up…

5. And he jams the “memory stick” into a joint! Energy crackles around it.

6. Devastator convulses – half of Arcee’s combiner-form face appears over his (ala the Spider-Man mask on Peter Parker when he gets “spider sense”). The seven heads of the Constructicons orbit, screaming in pain.

DEVASTATOR
HRRRA/ow!/I can read your/what’s happening/DISCONNECT

1. Devastator falls into his component parts…

SCRAPPER
No, NO! Constructicons -

2. Small panel – seven transition forms leave Cardiff Bay. The sun is starting to set.

NARRATIVE CAPTION
“Retreat!”

3. Back to the Bay, as the good guys (human and TF gather). Skids and Mudflap are slapping an ecstatic Knock Out on the back; Ratchet and Ishihara are shaking hands; Silverbolt looks proud. Optimus, meanwhile, talks to Epps.

CAPTION
Later…

EPPS
We stopped ‘em, but it’s not a win, is it? Not after the deaths and the injuries and the damage.

LINK
It’s more a no-score draw.

OPTIMUS
We’re going to change that, I promise you – I promise everyone!


4. Optimus, slamming his fist into an open palm.

OPTIMUS
No more waiting for the Decepticons – we’re going on the offensive!


5. Back to the States. Simmons’ enemy car trundles along the street.

CAR (thought balloon)
Sucker actually thought that double-back fooled me! Ha! Doesn’t even realise I stuck a tracer on him…

CAR (thought balloon)
Whether I catch him or tail him, don’t matter… Scorponok’s paying me to find out what Simmons knows…

5. Close-up on the car, and an image of its head in robot mode… it’s our old friend Jazz!

JAZZ (thought balloon)
…and Jazz always delivers!

STAR SCREAMS

Revenge Of The Fallen is out in cinemas now… and judging from the reviews, fans and critics alike are hating it in large numbers. To which I say – of course! The film hasn’t got enough of ME in it! (And helping Megatron… BAH!) Anyone who does like it is a filthy Autobot sympathiser and will be terminated – you’ve been warned!
