Devastation and Beast Wars: The Ascending is almost at an end and the Spotlight issues are starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel. Could we be seeing the slow demise of IDW as a Transformers comic? With some of the issues also coming out late (a problem that Dreamwave also encountered) are my worst fears slowly being realised?

I think there are still plenty of ideas (and initiated plot strands), it's just that it's taking a long time to get to them.
Mind you, after 30 ish issues, even Marvel (US) were scraping the bottom of the proverbial barrel!

the Spotlight issues are starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel. You mean plots or characters? Because Blaster, Arcee, Grimlock and Mirage are hardly "bottom of the barrel" characters.

And the next batch of five are pretty big names too, as well as emphatically making a mark on the IDW status quo. There's a fresh voice in Shane McCarthy on this summer's All Hail Megatron event, and the follow-up to that, the universe-melting, trouser-baiting twenty-fifth anniversary epic will possibly end up redefining everything. But then I would say that...

Does seem that we are only getting new spotlights & the Movie Starscream comic. But this is to make way for the flood of summer titles. Maybe after this IDW would have the titles set up so a new comic is out every month which takes place in the core universe - this being the main area we are currently missing with it only being touched on by the spotlights & no core title.

I'm loving the IDWverse, and believe it's getting stronger and stronger. There's so much going on. All good, apart from the rumours of a smeging Wheelie (puttup) Spotlight!

I'm eager to find out how the Gestalt technology plot is going to pan out. Also, hands-up for a Prowl Spotlight! And a Jazz one 'n'all!

And they did publish both a Spotlight Prowl, and a Spotlight Jazz!
What would you ask for now?

More issues with art like the preview pages in TF£ Foundation - thats the best looking Movie comic art ever.

What would you ask for now? Premiere Collection: Volume 3 containing Max Dinos followed by notes explaining how things in the IDW-verse were originally going to pan out - yes we already have a good idea but I need to bulk up the contents of this imaginary tome somehow. For reasons of quality Last Stand of the Wreckers and the Prowl mini-spotlight can also be included. Probably need something else in there too.... OK stick Megatron: Origin in - I didn't mind its exclusion from volume 2 but I can't think of a better option.

And they did publish both a Spotlight Prowl, and a Spotlight Jazz! What would you ask for now? Give me a decent Spotlight Prowl by Mr Roche and and and go back in time and stop AHM from ever happening causing me to not buy IDW Transformers comics anymore.

I've been doing some rough calculations and have discovered that IDW are close to beating Marvel US's record for largest number of TF comics set in the same continuity released by a single publisher.
If I've counted them correctly, Marvel have published 114 TF comics since 1984. By comparison, IDW have published 108 TF comics set in their own universe (not including reprints/collected editions).
Marvel US TF continuity: Transformers (80), G.I. Joe and The Transformers (4), Transformers: Headmasters (4), Transformers: Movie (3), Transformers Universe (4), Transformers G2 (12), New Avengers/Transformers (4), GI Joe featuring TF G2 (3?)
IDW TF continuity:
Infiltration (7), Stormbringer (4), Escalation (6), Megatron Origin (4), Devastation (6), Maximum Dinobots (5), All Hail Megatron (12), All Hail Megatron: Coda (4), Last Stand of the Wreckers (5), Bumblebee (4), Ironhide (4), Drift (4), Ongoing Series (16), Transformers Spotlight Revelations (4), Transformers Infestation (2) and various spotlights (21)
No wonder they're running out of ideas.
