Well the simple answer is anything that you want to make it! The idea came from some musings on Warren Ellis' website and have stayed with me for quite some time. The Broadside is one page of A4 and what you do with it is entirely up to you as the creator. The only emphasis is that it should be easy to distribute, i.e printing and photocopying so black and white is naturally a more attractive option. It's also something that anyone should be capable of doing without resorting to massive beasts of pcs with graphics programs and the like. You can crank these things out in word/open-office or similar. The first one is up just now and more are being done, but I'm hoping that all of you will have a bash at your own one pagers. The masthead is here to download if you want or if you have your own cool idea then use that instead! pixel-cel.com/fanzines/broadsidemasthead.jpgThe Broadside has it's own webpage now located hereAndy

I have a question: Will there be a Broadside FAQ?
You could answer that in a FAQ.

Just a small enquiry. How does number order work out? If someone made/submitted an issue 10 and someone else did too (it could happen , is it up to yourself Andy to change the number accordingly so that one becomes an issue 11? ===KEN

Number order is quite simple, whatever is published first gets the next available number. So two issues with the same number wouldn't happen and if it did which ever one was done first would get to keep its number.

I had finished what I had intended to be #2, but Charles beat me to the punch so it had to be renumbered. (Which gave me an excuse to go back and change the title layout, so it worked out for the better.) Karl

I'm getting ideas of having a bash at writing some article-based ones...
And if I get the chance, I'll download the PDF versions and I can try to get a load printed off for you to hand out at AA2009 as well guys!
