There, I said it.
If I could, I would take them all of my Transformers and replace them with actual faction symbol stickers.
I just don't like them.
HOWEVER, the placement of the Beast Wars Energon Chip thingies was much a better implementation of the concept. I liked that they were "hidden" more.

I actually did remove the rubsigns from some of my Transformers when I was ickle. It was because of the concept of proving they were genuine Transformers. My logic was, I knew that they were proper Transformers, so why did I need the rubsigns? So I took them off. Off the top of my head, I know Optimus is now missing his rubsign. I think Thrust, Bumblebee, Warpath, Cosmos and Powerglide are missing theirs. I'm not sure who's missing them altogether.

I really liked rubsigns when I was little. I think it's a neat little gimmick. Doesn't make much sense, but it's an extra piece of fun. Plus it proves that you have body-heat and aren't some sort of cold blooded VAMPIRE

All I can say is no rub signs on Transformers for extended periods of time and we get the rise of wanky bollocks vampire pish like Interview With A Vampire, Twilight and so forth.

I wonder with 'Reveal the Sheild' they'll be properly hidden. (much the same way with the Car Robots Spychangers). That would be pretty neat.

Rubsigns were useless in hot weather because they revealed a Transformers allegiance without the need to rub him up! Punch/Counterpunch hated hot weather because whenever he was trying to infiltrate Decepticon HQ the heaters in there revealed his true allegiance!

Not only do rub-signs RULE, but every Transformer that doesn't have one isn't a real Transformer.

I wish eBay had an online rubsign, to stop people listing Power Rangers, Gobots and any other reconfigurable toy under the sun as Transformers.

I'm in two minds about rub signs. On one hand I found them quite a fun gimmick on original TFs, but on the other, I want proper visible faction symbols on my figs! What's a boy to do?!
