I have a confession to make: I've just joined the club to get Sideburn. 19 days left if you're likewise tempted.

Oh, Phil.
Isn't that mould pretty knackered?

I'm not sure I'd have renewed just for it, but it is the closest they've come to a toy that justifies the cost of membership.

I need not to drink anytime in the next 16 days. Why? Andu's membership runs out soon and so this is a dangerous time for me, in case the Turn and Burn gestalt means that paying for something crap falls on my shoulders...
These are dark days.

The BIS Rodimus seems OK to me.
Sideburn has been calling to me for a while and then I had to look at him this week to write the Rodimus review.....

What, so the club didn't actually put any of these pictures on their actual website? As a member, bit hacked off that they put their Botcon pics elsewhere. How was I supposed to know? -Ralph

They are useless aren't they? You and I could do a better job at running the club than they do.... and probably should.

I do wonder what the point of them actually having a website is. It doesn't sound like it is very much good for anything.

But they make it so difficult!* -Ralph *The latest nonsense being a competition to win R1 Beast Wars DVD's/ Er, international** members can't play those. Fair enough, but why not have an alternative prize for those outside the US/Canada? Then everyone is happy! **Sorry, 'foreign' to use the Club's own term.*** ***Right. That's it! I'm not talking about the Club again!

It's not nonsense because the competition wouldn't be open to anyone outside the US anyway; the law wouldn't allow it, same as an American wouldn't be able to enter a UK competition. How was I supposed to know? -Ralph "It is designed as an outreach to a broader fan base and to share information with the fan base that have Facebook accounts." - From their Facebook note, "Why would this page ban someone?"

I'm sure there are international competitions, can't an international club hold an international competition?

Actually if its an internal club contest it should be open. If its not open to us it'll most likely be down to whatever (if any) involvement Shout Factory have, but I haven't read in to it so I don't know the details.
As for it being R1 well that is the only region its available in right now and its provided by Shout so I can understand FP not providing an equivalent prize. Plus almost every DVD player can be unlocked to multiregion and if you buy the £10-15 ones from the supermarket they already are multiregion most of the time. Aside from this contest its a worth while investment anyway as the US discs are still cheaper and released earlier.

I just checked the rules on the club forum and was surprised to find that it is open internationally. Or at least, there's nothing to say that international members can't enter. You have to be a member and can't be an employee/associate/family member etc.
