Not too long ago my better half and I took a holiday to Scotland, accompanied by our satnav.
It dawned on me whilst listening to it that if the word "Michael" were appended after directions, it would sound exactly like KITT from Knight Rider.
That led me to think that it would brilliant if somebody threw a few quid at Frank Welker to voice Megatron. It made me feel all gooey to think of ignoring a message to turn left and then receiving "I said turn left, worthless flesh creature!" afterwards.
Peter Cullen would do just such a job as Optimus Prime too: "You must take the next left if we are to get to the destination on time."
I fear it would be overkill if these things were said in every instance, but it strikes me as great to think of the odd one-off line coming out.
So, that's my candidate for a spectacular crossover opportunity of Transformers being used elsewhere: Megatron and Optimus Prime as voice options on a satnav. Or Grimlock. Or Soundwave. I'd throw the thing out the window if it were Wheelie though.
