Unexpected side-effect of starting work is that I am eating continuously and my body craves junk. Pies, chocolate, crisps, fatty foods, can't get enough of them! -Ralph We shall call you DOCTOR PIE!!!!!

Kitchen finished, besides some decorating, Roof finished. THe house is no longer a building site. Hurrah!
Lino is totally a pain I did the bathroom a few months back, I only tried to fit two edges both of which are a little off. The other wall that needed a neat finish I left till I felt braver. Its still curling up the wall now.

I got a shock as I was walking into work today. On the path that I normally take was a mutant earthworm. It was alive and crawling from one patch of grass to another and looked like a normal earthworm but was five times bigger! Either it has been feeding on some of the fertilised soil in the nearby farmers fields or this creature has come from space with an intent on taking over mankind.
You have been warned!

Might have been a slowworm. My cats are always capturing them and bringing them into the house.
I have to humour the moggies and thank them for the present which I simply must 'put with the others' (back outside).

It certainly looked like an earthworm to me and not any of the above suggestions. Anyway, changing the subject slightly I've got today off work so I'm thinking of doing a spot of net-shopping for Christmas presents.

Good sign of a good first week, Doc'! Well done!
Had some, at times surprising large scale, fireworks in our garden this evening. Just a few. Piglet loved them. So much that for half the time I was watching her and not the fireworks themselves.

Should be in work at the moment but I had a call saying to wait. The reason being that someone's smashed all the windows in! Not sure when I'll be called in so having one of those don't-really-do-anything mornings.

A pleasant day has been marred by a letter from Lloyds telling me that my bank account is overdrawn. It was an account I had specifically with no overdraft, so rather than not paying the paypal payment (which would then default to my credit card, as intended) they generously PAID it, taking my account into an overdraft and charging me £15 for the pleasure, plus £6 a day!!
All sorted now. But I thought giving someone an overdraft who doesn't want one was illegal!

I went to a local fireworks display last night at my local cricket club with my father and brother and it seemed that I was the only one out of the three of us who wanted to watch them. My brother and father were much more happier to sit in the bar of the clubhouse all night rather than going outside to watch the fireworks. Considering that we each paid £3 to get in I have to question why they didn't just go down one of the local pubs instead if they just wanted to sit down and drink a couple of pints of their chosen alcohol.
Anyway, tonight I'll be off down my local pub to compete in the pub quiz again. My team finished first two weeks ago and second last week. Lets hope this run of success can continue.

Royal Mail woke me up this morning to deliver a package. This would not be unusual were it not a Sunday. How strange. The Royal Mail chap expressed confusion about delivering on a Sunday also.
Week of gluttony over. About to fire up the mp3 player and make a few treks to shops to stock up properly on foodstuffs then later this afternoon I shall park myself in a coffee shop for some reading.

Alas, I never made it to the coffee shop as I required quite a bit of food, etc shopping from various locations. Just adapting to weekly shops again after daily trips! Caught up on podcasts while on my travels though, so no harm done.

Spending a day listing on ebay is no fun, especially not after spending two days packing up the last lot of auctions. Still if I get as much money as last week it will be worth it, but as I have no Classic Magnus, Rodimus, Prime or Skywarp this time thats unlikely.
At least I'm making space.
