Phil is having another case of writer's block, but only on a specific subject.
I've got a G1 review I'm writing and have been for 3 weeks. I can't think of another word to say and I'm some way off finished. The toy in question isn't a favourite but I'd found a really interesting angle to work with it before the word flow dried up.
Yet I managed to turn out three pieces on different subjects over the weekend.

Found! He'd got in the PCC box which in turn was in the Loft Of Joy. While up there I persuaded TFC Prowl & TFC Smokescreen to donate a chromed missile to CS Silverstreak who is very pleased with them.

I return from the void. I have good vibes. Not being thrown in at the deep end, looks like a job I can grow into it once I have my bearings and the hours are of a more regular nature than I thought they would be. Also, the building I am working out of used to be known as...THE ARK. And has mysterious derelict floors and basement of doom!

At some point this month I will have been given up smoking for a full twelve months. I mentioned it on the Week ## thread at the time but can't remember what day exactly.

Glad to hear that the first day went positively Ralph. And who doesn't like working in a Building of Mystery. Closest I have ever got was a detergent factory, but that was more like a cut-price Bond villian base than a place with any sense of a past....

Hooray for the new job, Ralph, and congrats on the 12 month mark there zudo.
Well, my new job plus moving plus training plus trying to pry my crap out of boxes has led to no internet fun times for me recently. Am feeling stressed with needing to pop out some results on a first project, and my multitasking skills need serious de-rusting.

I feel pretty tired but that's from trying to adjust to a new work situation and getting used to a new routine after a few months away from work. It's a slow burn in terms of duties initially though.
I expect to be cabbaged by Friday evening!

Transmaster Hub Brothers. If you never listen to anything I have to say ever again, listen to this. And, for the LOVE OF GOD head my words, I beg you.
Never ever EVER try to fit Lino yourself.
I just nearly destroyed the universe in RAGE trying. Mrs Shockprowl took over, and she nearly destroyed the universe in rage, and Mrs Shockprowl only ever gets cross when I spend too much on toys. What a freaking absolute mother pig of a job. I'd rather French kiss a skunk than do that again.
Beer and CSI night are my only comfort now.

You're a brave person to even try laying lino yourself, shockprowl. They always make that crap look easy on the renovation shows, but I've always suspected it was a huge pile of bollocks and bother to do it.
In other less pleasant news, my friend who took over my old job (you know, the one I got fired from) also just got fired today.
Can you believe, when he told her she was fired and she made a nominal comment in acknowledgement of this, he shushed her and said 'No no, *I'm* talking now' and then once he'd proceeded to note how much of a failure she was blah blah blah, then said, 'Now you can talk'.
Who the hell says that sort of shit to anyone who isn't a child under the age of 12, let alone a 44 year old woman with a PhD?
Oh, and when she deadpanned at the end of that "You're just amazing, aren't you?", he completely missed her sarcasm and responded in all seriousness, "Yes, I *am* amazing". At which point she just got up and left.

Good grief, so he is certainly lacking in social graces. I'd say that he is a poor excuse for a person, let alone a boss, based on that. Unfortunately far too many of those types seem to reach senior levels. Karl

Perfect example of the Peter Pan Principle: people rise to the level of their incompetance. What a twat.

Needs putting in thier place, or better yet trampled on.
Spent today at the Bristol Arnolfini Gallery and around the Harbourside area. I also went to the Watershed for a bit to see what's on.

Unexpected side-effect of starting work is that I am eating continuously and my body craves junk. Pies, chocolate, crisps, fatty foods, can't get enough of them!

Well at least you're active.
Not a lot happening Dave-wise. Just rescanned the TV to see if I can get BBC1 HD. I can't and now I've lost Film 4 again.
