What will be your (UK) convention-going habits of next year?
Key:
AA = Auto-Assembly TF = Transformation

I'm going to aim for TF as well so I voted both, but as it stands, definately AA and maybe TF.

I'm really going to try my best to visit AA next year. Looks great, so hopefully I can get saved up.

I'll be at AA & hope to try for TF [but looks like train fares are going up]. But only really need to get in near Victoria area then use that platform 15 or 16 train direct to Croydon on the saturday.

At this point in time I am really only planning for attendance at AA (at least, as far as formal conventions go).

I'm definitely going to AA next year but as for TF my mind is still undecided. I can get a bus from Leicester to London no problem but the bus will drop me off a long way from Croydon so finding the place won't be too easy.

Rubbish. I'm guessing the bus will drop you at Victoria Coach Station? Train from there to East Croydon.

I think it does drop off at Victoria Coach Station (I'll have to check again) but I wasn't aware of a nearby train station (yes, I know Primenova mentioned it in an earlier post but somehow I missed that).
If thats the case then I shouldn't really have any problem reaching TF.

Victoria Coach Station is just a few minutes' walk from Victoria Train/Underground Station.
I'll be back to selling at AA next year. I expect to go to TF, most likely socially rather than selling as it's not long before my drama society's production and I'll probably be busy with that.

I'm not currently planning to attend any TF cons next year, but will try to get to informal meet-ups.

I can only really afford one convention at the moment, so I'll be going to just Auto Assembly (i just hope i can afford even that!)

How much is AA going to be next year? Has that been announced yet?

How much is AA going to be next year? Has that been announced yet? £50 for the weekend, plus you travel costs and hotel fees, so for me that'd be like £250 all together or something at the most

It's very easy to get from VCS to Croydon - you just need day ticket for zones 1-6.
if on train you can get from which station across to Victoria [not every train comes into Kings cross] then back upto the back platform for the train to EC. but getting national express from up north only gets you into VCS at 1400 - so that means trains for day trip - or overnight at hotel if using coach.
Just to think i once paid £23.10 for ticket return scunthorpe to london 2/10/04 taking 90 minutes - 2 single tickets £11.55 each. now its 2hrs & £78 for one single.
