Assume that "G1" means any Western Transformers toy released between 1984 and 1990.
What was the last "G1" Transformer you bought...
... a) at the time, brand new in a toy shop? ... b) any time since then either as new or loose/second hand as a collector?

I'd bought the Firecons a good few months back - can't imagine I'll be getting any more G1 toys.

Is that G1 toy - original toy from pre 1992
or G1 re-release toy from 92 onwards [G2 recolours & the reissues]

At this years Auto Assembly I brought Ultra Magnus second hand which I thought was a bargain for £10 considering that the only things missing is White Prime's fists and any gun that White Prime carries. I also got Classics Soundwave which, although not an original G1 toy it is 95% based on the original G1 toy.

A) in 1990 I have no idea without searching through photos from Christmas 1990 and even then if I got money odds are I got something else before new year.
But the last G1 toy I bought at original retail was Rotorstorm in 1996 from TRU. At least thats how I remember it. If it wasn't that it was my mass buy out of my local toy shop when it closed and the only G1 toy left was Zap that would have been between between December 27th 1995 and the 8th January 1996 when it closed.
b) last G1, erm junk Blitzwing last Wednesday, 20p from car boot sale.

Last G1 themed - MP Skywarp,
G1 reissued - Soundwave
while last G1 era produced would be the 4 mini bots from 1992 99p in Woolworths [the keychains in 2002 used the same mode but had been altered with the extra platic tag at the rear]

Last G1 toy for me as a child was Thottlebot Searchlight. Bought from a toyshop on Blackboy Hill in Bristol around 87/88 when I was visiting my Grandparents. Pretty sure it came with a decoy, but can't remember which one. Might have been Blaster as I remember it being quite blocky. The toy shop no longer exists. However, as a collector, the last vintage toy I got was Pretender Longtooth.

They were on the news a lot for refusing to stock TMNT merch. ===KEN
