At a car boot sale yesterday I bought a Micromachine set "Laser Attack Airstrip". I was having a look and noticed cobra symbols on some of the parts then noticed on the box that Cobra was being attacked by A-Force. So this be a micromaster scale Action force set. or a Beast Wars Microset scale. Arachnid could attack it piloted by BW Megatron. Strangely this is from 2000 so about a decade after Action Force became GI Joe. Andy

Interesting. I haven't heard of these before, at least not as Joes. I just Googled "gi joe micro playset" and found these: Cobra Tank BattalionCobra Communications TowerGI Joe Air SquadronDogfightI suppose GI Joe wasn't considered a strong enough brand in the UK by then and the range was released as a generic military subline. Even on those American versions, Micro Machines is the main branding.

Nice find. Maybe AF was not that popular, but Im still a bit surprised they aren't subtitled like the US versions. I can't imagine it would have hurt sales. Now I just wish they there was a micromaster ramp connector on it somewhere.

I think that is because they are both based on the same German tracked Anti-Aircraft Vehicle. It is not so much one looks like the other, more that both look like their inspiration.
