Blueshift makes an interesting pointHow big are the Actionmasters? As big as the robots we've seen earlier in the comics & cartoon? So their driving HUGE vehicles. Or normal human sized ? So the vehicles are the right size for humans. Or all the same height somewhere in between (about 3 times human height if you compare them to a Headmaster)

Definitely giant robots.
In the comics, all the "Action Master" characters shown were the same size as non Action Master Transformers.
Mind you, making the Action Masters shrink to human size would have been an interesting concept to explore!

I've always felt they were the same size as their original versions. In the case of Jazz, Prowl, Sideswipe, and wheeljack they are very close anyway.
The AMs seemed to be the line were Hasbro started realigning or creating size classes and the AM class was the standard for a lot of the Euro run and a lot of G2 so I never thought of them as shrunk down. It wasn't until BW were the deluxes really bacame prominent and the basic and later scouts took to representing the smaller characters.
Which is why I can't believe I never considered just how huge Primes lorry is. This would make a great pictorial article like the Minibot scale.

I like to think they are giant robot size.
So that Wheeljack driving his car down the road causes untold devastation!

I am actually in the process of doing a Special Teams scale article. But I reckon I could do an Action Master one as well. Here's food for thought: Ultra Magnus and Optimus Prime were always shown as being the same height in robot mode, despite UM being OP's cab plus extra trailer armour. So assume that AM Prime is as tall as UM's toy and then picture how big the Armoured Convoy must be!!

Ha ha!
I think that if Nucleon shrunk them as well as depriving them of transformation, that would have been mentioned in the story blurb. (Imagines little Tyrannitron coming up to my waist level.)
Hopefully the giant Action-Master vehicles were used primarily on Cybertron rather than Earth.
It gets worse. In the G2 comic, Prime was drawn the same size as Megatron, who was drawn the same size as Fortress Maximus, whose head turns into a robot whose head in turn becomes a human. So AM Prime's lorry is big enough to be driven by a robot whose head turns into a robot whose head is a human!

DO IT. What really hurts my head are Micromasters. Were their vehicle modes tiny? Other big size Transformers like Prowl turn into a robot from a car and there's no hint of mass shifting. So MM robots must then turn into tiny cars unless they mass shift when transforming! -Ralph

I'm trying to work out how to compose it. Its like trying to clearly draw a full body Micromaster and Metroplex(cartoon sized) in the same image.

I remember one strip in CG2 or maybe Transtrip describing AM Devastator one sixth of his previous size.

But....Micromasters can't turn into mini cars because they were drawn the same size as regular cars, etc in comics/cartoons!
This has hurt my head since back in the day.

But look at the Micromaster advert, they fit in the palm of Prime's hand!
But in all seriousness, the Action Masters are their normal size.

In the likes of King Con and Interplanetary Wrestling, written back in the day when Uncle Bob was crying tears of liquefied brain due to all the new toys needing panel space, the Autobot Micromasters were shown to be RealLife sized cars and human-sized robots. But the Decepticon Micromasters seemed to be tiny little jets. But they did get nice Dick Tracy hats and overcoats!
Physics, we hardly knew ye.
Back on topic: Action Masters are giant robots... the poll is unanimous!

I feel the poll is flawed! What if the Action Masters were giant giant robots!
What if AM Devastator was as big as normal Devastator, and all the other action masters were to scale with him!

If they hadn't done AMs based on old characters so we had no reference point for the character, how big would you imagine them to be?

Same here, largely because enough new characters had fairly obvious design elements that made it clear they turned into cars or planes so that set the majority at between autobot cars and Decepticon jets size.
I suppose its possible Mainframe is Devastotor sized. Or Gutcruncher is human sized.

Mincons turn into smaller car - while Micromaster grow when they transform - so it could have a micro driving another micro. [if you remove a few seats]
