That Arco thing clearly isn't a raygun, the use of separate percussion caps suggests a much lower technological level, similar to Earth of the later 1800'.......
Clearly this award has to go to the raygun with a proper flaring raygun muzzle - because after all, how can you blast the Boskonian foe with ravening energies leaping from the muzzle of a raygun or force-projector if it doesn't have a flaring muzzle? (With apologies to the late E.E Smith for infringing on his schtick...)
