I bought one Gundam kit YEARS ago, the Epyon, at the height of Gundam Wing's popularity. I didn't find it anywhere near as satisfying as the Zoids I've built and thought it a tinsy bit more fragile.

My Travel Battleship set vanished a while ago so today I red hazed on a replacement when I saw it on sale at £3.49 in Smyths. LET BATTLE COMMENCE.
Though I see that Hasblowwwww no longer call the Travel versions of their games TRAVEL. They are now GRAB N' GO. Not right. Just not right.

The Tetris version of Jenga has had a quick test for future tomfoolery. It's evil. I think it could start fights. The blocks are multicoloured plastic in the shape of Tetris blocks rather than the usual wooden standard straight Jenga blocks. This means they stack in ways it is hard to predict. Evil.
Sadly I must report that current Connect 4 no longer has the ridges on the edges of the discs for easy stacking. The official version now feels like a knock-off!!!

It was one of those impulse buys when you're at a car boot sale and its chucking it down and theres nothing sensible to buy, you're wet and miserable and dont want to go home with nothing to show. Suddenly you see a large box that says Tickle me Elmo and you remember how funny you found it when you found one on holiday 18 years ago.
So today I bought a 10th Anniversary Tickle Me Elmo, which is nearly at its own 10th anniversary.
Oh my god its amazing. It had me in hysterics. It throws itself around the room and begs you to stop, then stands back up panting because its out of breath. Then tells you off for pressing the button again.
This might be better than talking Baby Sinclair from Disneys Dinosaurs and Casette playing A.L.F.

Bad Phil! No-one needs to be reminded of that!!! He's crafty like that. He'd make a good Doctor Who villain. The one who creeps up on you unawares and stirs up childhood memories that you gleefully indulge in before they DRIVE YOU INSANE FOR DAYS. Hey you...

There's a guy in my work who thinks I look like Baby Sinclair from Dinosaurs, only with hair. I don't mind, I liked Dinosaurs (I very nearly bought the set of figures on eBay the other day, complete with accessories) and it's one of the funnier things I've been called.
It's better than being told i look like Steven Gerrard or Kevin Bridges which happens.
Anyway, I got drunk at the Wrestling show I was at last night and woke up to find I'd bought 2 Venom figures. Not that strange until I realised they look like the same bloody figure. Also made best offers on a MP Soundblaster (a figure I'd go as far to say I hate), a MP Skywarp and won a WOS Springfield Powerplant with Hazard suit Homer. I got the WOS set for a pretty decent price because it's loose.
I missed the end of the auction for the only thing I really wanted, a broken MP Skywarp which I wanted for the box and Null-Ray cannons for the loose MP Skywarp I have. It finished on £16 as well which is peanuts.

Idiot that I am, I bought a loose one on Sunday so I'm going to have to finish the set. I started with a couple of the rarer ones.

That's way over my disposeable income plus food budget for a month! -Ralph It won't get any easier for me next month. I'm looking at UW Devastator, the 2 Lego Simpsons sets and MP Soundwave if I can find the Hasbro version somewhere. And that's just for starters. I need to then plan ahead for MPs Hot Rod, Shockwave and Ultra Magnus. And I'm still undecided about Ironhide and Ratchet. I want both of them but I might hold off for a possible Hasbro remold. And I now want Tracks after seeing the pics of him in hand. I guess that's the problem with starting up a collection when you're late to the party. You're playing catch up and you want to buy everything at once. I'm hoping to have it evened out by Jan/Feb so I can restrict it to one or two purchases a month max.

The issue of finances aside I think it is always a good idea to space out purchases. Helps with appreciation with things when they arrive, in my experience. Even if I get a few things at once I like to space out when they are opened up, etc.

I've been in a right random purchase mood the last few days. Among them has been the TMNT Secret Sewer Lair and a Batman Animated Batcave both of which are 40 inches tall, a job lot of Alien and Predator figures which was expensive but broken down its pretty cheap per figure, a couple of Resident Evil 2 figure packs, the 20th anniversary Mortal Kombat Shao Khans Arena and some additional figures, Generations Skybyte, Soul Calibur 2 Astaroth and Necrid, LOTR Lurtz, Strider and Balrog statues (a mix of Gentle Giant and Applause) and the rest of the World of Nintendo figures with mystery accessory box that I was missing.
Most randomly though is a pile of figures and playsets from the Shrek movies. I've got an absolutely no idea why, other than they were cheap and looked like fun.

The Micro Movie scene sets are £1.50 as are all the individual small figures. The soft toys and larger deluxe figures were £3.50.
