Since the section description talks about other (non TF)acquisitions I thought I'd start a thread for us to post about them and optionally pics too. I'd be interested in seeing pics from other people since I can't match a name to a face on some of the non TF toys talked about here. ===KEN Here's some of my new aqcuisitions featuring a blend of TMNT and Goonies. In the post to me soon will be a J Concepts BJ4 Worlds Edition. 4 wheel drive radio controlled car. 2nd hand. But I fancy giving 4wd a try. As I've always wanted to. It's more fun than 2wd. Pictures

Okay, these guys were worth the money.Seriously, that bloke on the right? You have no idea how big that sword he's holding is. We're talking actual breadknife proportions. They could both do with a bit more freedom at the shoulders, but the other design features prevent that. The vehicle modes are a bit tragic, but I'll forgive it because I'm a sucker for combiners. -Nick

Thankyou Philip. I'll be in Swindon twice as much over the summer with a car for each discipline, 2WD and 4WD. There is a regional race at the track there.
Elliott.

Donatello on the bike is pretty much dressed up like one of the Cosby Kids, or rather that Ryan kid from High School Musical.
The other mini Extreme Sports TMNT are pretty amusing as well as the VS pack baddies they partnered with who also have Extreme clobber.

I have to say that I am not a huge fan of the TMNT toys, but that Dracula Turtle does amuse me.
He looks a lot like a shelled version of The Count from Sesame Street.

12 altogether in 3 waves of 4. I'm not sure if they will be released Europe-side like with a lot of TMNT as of late.
Wave 1 are the four Turtles w/DVDs.
Wave 2 will be Rocksteady, Bebop, April and Splinter.
Wave 3 will be Shredder w/mini Krang, Slash, Casey Jones and Foot Solider.
1 and 2 are already out, and 3 is being released later.

I forgot to mention that the Party Wagon is also being reissued. BTW, that Shredder is part of a current subline called Exoskeletons and each Mech/Figure pairing is also packaged with a full copy of the PC Ubisoft TMNT game. ===KEN

I recentley acquired a Brave & The Bold figure of The Red Tornado.
As much as I like the character and his portrayal in the toon, I was dissapointed to find all these connector holes on his knees, elbows, back and shoulders. In fact, all the figures seem that way judging from the display shots.
The figure looks okay, but it feels wrong to have all these holes around it. The cyclone spinning weapon that is meant to go into the figures back and wind up, but it does'nt do anything.
I hope Mattel do a better assortment of these.

Some nice stuff there Pete. I am surprised not to see a VF-25 amongst them though..... :-)
I take it that some of those are the new 1/60th Valkyries? I've not actually had the pleasure of seeing them in the plastic/SWAG Armour yet , how do they compare to the old 1/60th line? Looks like they have a more poseable Gerwalk mode at any rate.

I'll be building my first VF-25 (S- Ozma custom) next monday. Will post pics as soon as it's done. Luca and Alto will follow shortly, with Mikchael at tail end, as well as Armored Ozma by year's end. Point by point: 1. New 1:60 line is perfect transformation. Old 1:60 line needed to remove the legs, remove a peg from the nose and attach the legs manually to the nose for battroid mode. The new 1:60s use the swing-bar method of transformation and are non-removable. 2. New 1:60 line has double jointed elbows - thus surpassing both the old 1:60 and the newer 1:48 in terms of arm poseability. 3. New 1:60 line has proper sized hands, thus surpassing the puny chinken hands of the 1:48s, not to mention the crap hands of the old 1:60s 4. New 1:60 line has CAD technology based build, thus making the 1:48 look absolutely chunky by comparisson. New 1:60s have sleeker legs, the nose is shorter and doesn't extend below the knees in battroid mode 5. New 1:60 line has feet which are poseable not only back-to-frond but swivel-side to side and angle-out-right-to-left thus allowing for perfect anime-accurate posing. 6. New 1:60 line has new Super Parts back-pack attachment method which is risk-free and slides snugly on rather than threatening to over-burden your GBP and potentially snap it as was the case on the 1:48s. 7. New 1:60 VF-1D comes with Lyn Minmei in SDFM-TV dress 8. New 1:60 comes packed with Super and Strike parts unlike the 1:48s 9. New 1:60 CAN DO THIS: Which is just frickin' nuts - but there you have it Pete

The 1/72nd kits? I've been thinking about picking up a couple of those at some point myself- notable the -S with Super parts. (Got to go for the Ozma, his ship has the nicest colour scheme of the lot). I'd be interested to hear how the build-up goes. I am still part way through the old VF-2SS kit myself at the moment. Everytime I think I am going to get a chance to get some more work done on it something goes along to stop me. I remember the old 1/60th's detachable legs. My -1S' legs will no longer stay on in Gerwalk at all, as a result of the latch breaking, and the only thing that keeps them in place in battroid is the extra weight of the GBP armour..... The new 1/60's do sound like they have solved most of the problems of the previous two scales. And the "rescuing the kids" pose is just absolutely superb. One of those things one never really expected the toys to be able to do short of massive customisation. Hmmm. They do sound darn tempting. Karl
