Finally caught up with the 4" World of Nintendo figures after missing 4 or 5 waves, thanks mostly to Jetty.
And it's taken a while but I'm 1 figure away from completing my Van Helsing collection. There's a couple of variants I don't have yet but the important thing was completing the main figures.

I've been collecting original Jurassic Park stuff recently but it's so bloody expensive. Had a quick look at the JW stuff in Smyths and it looked pretty decent. Nice designs, good retro feel to it from the tiny Owen figures to the Jeep Wrangler and the larger dinosaurs looking very like the originals. Didn't get a chance to handle it much as my 3 year old kept running back to the Transformers and wanting to fill the basket up. |

The newer stuff (some of) is smaller, but better articulated and more detailed.
The cheapest deal I've seen on retro JP was a carded Dennis Nedry figure for £15 on ebay. We all know movie accurate that figure was lol. Perhaps Dennis will get a second chance through the Legacy range which is currently a store exclusive in the US. So far Dr Ellie, Alan Grant and Robert Muldoon have been given the remake treatment.

Bank holiday weekend car booting scored me a small collection of old panini sticker albums.
Major nostalgia despite never having owned any of these particular ones. Danger Mouse x2, ET, Short Circuit, Care Bears and The Muppets.

I have learned that keychain cars have returned! They are now blind bag items under the Hot Wheels banner. Found in Asdaland for a pound. Bought one in red haze. Fires an impressive distance for a tiny car!

I bought one of those yesterday (and a Worlds Secret Smallest box) after our ASDA had revamped its whole mystery toy section. I'm pretty sure these were Gashapon capsule toys at one time. I really wanted some of those slime racers but could not find those anywhere.
The Secret Smallest box may have another Hot Wheels in there!
Not opened either yet.

Got a pile of gameboy games at the car boot for a few quid each. Marios are obvious fakes (so obvious I'm not sure what I was thinking, but they were a few quid and they work which really is all I want in life). The Pokemon though... I'm convinced they're real. The labels are shiny with the embossed marks and correct corners (which the fakes get right) and both the boards seem to check out.   For comparison, here's some fake boards. You can see the pins used have little dimples and they use the cheap chip printed onto the board and covered with a blob of black epoxy  |

I just bought a Holiday Hero Buzz Lightyear on eBay. Been watching Zack Ryder's (WWE wrestler) youtube series about toy collecting and he stumbles upon large Christmas versions of Buzz and Woody in a vintage toy shop.
There was only 1 in the UK so felt it was duty to buy it. Need to keep it out the way of my son though.
