It looks like this then is going to be the first Transformers cartoon series since Beast machines to be shown fully in the US before the UK [last eps of RID, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Animated all shown in Uk before US cos we caught up on all of them didn't we?]

To be honest there was never any doubt it was going to be on a pay tv channel. ITV and BBC are both slashing spending on kids shows year on year and given TF's popularity it's not going to be a cheap program to get the rights to.

From Wikipedia: "In the United Kingdom the series will air on Sky1 and Channel 4 starting in March 2011. Transformers: Prime will air in Spain on Boing and in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the Middle East the series will air on Cartoon Network."
I'd say that's one of Wikipedia's infamous innacuracies, seeing as all the countries mentioned in that quote are covered by the Turner agreement.

On the off-chance that I might get an actual response rather than something vague and non-committal, I sent an email to Cartoon Network asking when Prime is due to air. I got this promising response: "Transformers Prime is starting on Cartoon Network in the UK in September."

The animation is better on airing - compared to watching online clips. So should be all new 5 days a week - then repeat sunday twice - so expect that to be 1,2 this sunday.

I just noticed that it's also shown weekdays at 8pm on CN Too. I assume it's a repeat of that day's Cartoon Network episode.

If you watch the 20:00 you don't get the end credits cut - i'll tape the end credits later on so have the cast list up.

I don't like it when the end credits - with the cast list is cut down to part of the screen just to advertise the next program.

Moved time slot to 1900 - but still set for 14 on 11/10/11 or back to 1.

Looks like they are stopping showing TF Prime next week at pm slot. They've show ep 1-13 4 times [8 if you count the CNtoo repeat. ]

Thundercats is taking over the 7pm weekday slot next week; they're now repeating that from the start having shown six or so episodes on Saturdays. Prime will remain at 5pm on CN Too, which would seem likely to be more repeats.
Why can't Cartoon Network just show a whole damn series? It's not as if they're catching up with US broadcasts.

Why can't Cartoon Network just show a whole damn series? It's not as if they're catching up with US broadcasts. Their strategy seems to be built around keeping plenty of tranches of episodes back so that every quarter or so they can unveil "all new episodes of [insert name of show]" as a promotional tactic. From that point of view it makes sense to make maximum use of their rights to rerun stuff. I saw them do the same with Brave and the Bold. It wouldn't surprise me to see them take them eighteen months to a year to work through the first season of Prime. Karl

From that point of view it makes sense to make maximum use of their rights to rerun stuff. I saw them do the same with Brave and the Bold. It took The Hub a year to get through the first series of TF Prime. On the one hand it makes sense because you get more 'opening night' events. But on the other hand it infuriates any loyal audience you're trying to build up. Still, apparently it's one of the top rated shows on UK Cartoon Network: seekingalpha.com/article/300031-hasbro-s-ceo-discusses-q3-2011-results-earnings-call-transcript

Oh, Cartoon Network, when will they learn? For kids time is slower. Spread out your series with new eps only every now and then and you will lose that audience. I'm often amazed that channel is still in business, to be honest. Especially in the broadband age where kids can watch episodes online whenever they want for some series on legit sites nevermind youtube, etc
