There's some quality kit-bashing in those sets. Harry Sullivan is just great - never been a Harry before so that head must have come from a figure in another line. And an Androgum Second Doctor! What a repaint! Orange eyebrows and you're done.

I don't think they're due until the end of the month. I'm monitoring the GB thread. I spent a while this afternoon working out exactly what these figures are to see how many are just reissues as opposed to repaints or parts combinations. There's some clever financial thinking behind all these - fewer moulds being used than it looks. The Silver Nemesis set is great, but all three of the figures in that have been out before. The only difference with the Cybermen is that these ones have black eyes and the originals had plain silver. Harry is with two Sontarans that have been out before, one is the same as before, the other just has different coloured boots.
Still, the sets will all help with creating displays for individual episodes - there's already a Silver Nemesis Ace for example and more Cybermen won't hurt.
We now have an individual TARDIS for all classic Doctors except 2,6 and 8. Tom has three! We've got three classic Masters and they each have a unique TARDIS too. Plenty of scope for some really nice displays.

Of course the TRUE McGann fan will want the B&M version of the set AND the super limited 150 run Big Finish version too...

The guy who posts on GB under the name The Fab 14 is Character Options' Who brand manager, Al Dewar. He's been quite open about this summer's releases. He's mentioned several times that the BF versions of the sets (just the Doctor/Dalek packs) will have paint variations and are limited to 150 per set. gallifreybase.com/gb/threads/classic-series-toys-merchandise-part-31.259871/post-11569501Jun 27, 2019 | Classic Series Toys & Merchandise (Part 31) #2,019 the variants are for the most parts minor as the characters are essentially the same but some are more obvious than the others ... but it was a way to offer BF a degree of real exclusivity as they are only taking 150pcs of each set, so literally only 150 of each exclusive set will exist anywhere ...gallifreybase.com/gb/threads/classic-series-toys-merchandise-part-31.259871/post-11621792Wednesday at 11:59 AM | Classic Series Toys & Merchandise (Part 31) #2,741 Gareth Pugh said: Dunno but Al Dewar has mentioned recently how the differences between the B&M (mass retail) version of a set and the Big Finish extra limited version will be ‘more obvious’ for some of them than others. There’s been speculation the 8th Doc Big Finish set might come with a clean (not weathered/dirtied down) paint job on the Dalek. So i’m wondering if the Seventh Doctor set might come with a hatted Doc?
No they are all small or large deco variances .. but limited to 150 pcsgallifreybase.com/gb/threads/classic-series-toys-merchandise-part-31.259871/post-11569508Jun 27, 2019 | Classic Series Toys & Merchandise (Part 31) #2,023 JaHawk2009 said: Do you know if they'll give us advance warning of pre-orders opening up? Or would that be something to ask BF?
I dont i would contact BF directly .. i do know they are getting their stock slightly later than B&M though as it has to go to our warehouse and then to them whereas the B&M stock goes direct .. but for me having one of 150 is probably a good thing .. and worth waiting for.

Could you possibly copy over the posts? My phone says that is a different version of OG than the one I access (which makes no sense).
150 each, eh? FFS. These will be even harder to get than the bloody supermarket vinyls! I'll have to be sitting on OG the second they go up!

I will do in a mo. Not easy on mobile. When was the last time you checked GB? They moved servers a couple of months back so your cookies might be getting confused if they're expecting the old site.

I just checked in yesterday. I had this problem before, relogged in and was fine. The Internet does not want me to know about paint differences in small production run toys!

edited post above to include the post itself. Awkward to read without the original formatting, so the relevant bits are in bold.
The Eighth set has been shown with dirty and clean versions of the Dalek, but it hasn't been made clear if that's the deco difference or whether one was just an older out of date photo.
Actually, both those photos are above in this thread. Interestingly, the dirtied version came from BF and the clean one is among the B&M press images. So it might well just be that difference for the McGann set. There's nothing to read into the fact the BF image has 'limited edition' on the box - the B&M boxes are the same.

BF put their sets up. When I saw the post about it 43 mins later they had all sold out. If things go quick that is fair enough but I do get annoyed when there is no prior warning as to when a limited release will be on sale. That way there is no chance as I don't stay glued to FB, especially when at work!
If a company says 'Limited Thing goes on sale at Y time on X date' then at least there is a chance!

That is just rubbish. Complete rubbish. This is just like their vinyl releases. Why make things so hard to get hold of? 150 was a stupid number to release. I'm glad I discounted the BF stuff from my 'complete' collection of classic figures, given B&M will have these anyway. I only want the Movie deco McCoy from those two packs.

That is just rubbish. Complete rubbish. This is just like their vinyl releases. It's worse. At least with the vinyl releases you are given advance notice of what date they are on sale and which stores stock it. There wasn't even an announcement as to what date or time these would be made available for. Gurrr. -Ralph

I may have timed my weekly trip to Sainsburys to coincide with my best guess for when B&M (next door) put their stock deliveries out. I may have got that right and just red hazed on a lot of new Doctor Who figures.

There's a former B&M supervisor in the GB thread who said shops won't all get these simultaneously. It'll be whenever their 'brown box' (household goods) delivery comes in for the week, which for some shops may not be until next week.

Yeah, remember this is B&M. There's no specific release date for these, it's just when shops get them. Looking at GB it seems they've appeared predominantly in the south, although there may have been a few sets in one of the Edinburgh shops briefly. Someone who works at B&M also said their central warehouse listed 4000 of the seventh doctor 3 pack sets ready to go out, so I'd imagine once the initial rush dies down these will be around quite readily for a while. The GB thread on this is quite intense, Who fans get riled very quickly don't they! Although it appears a scalper bought a shop's entire stock and then posted a picture to gloat. Some people are really weird.
No one's had either of the Sontaran sets yet, so no Harry Sullivans or orange eyebrow Second Doctors out yet.

The 13th Doctor 'Adventure Doll' was seen half priced so I grabbed it. She has weak knees and the boots don't quite sit flat so is a pain to pose without her falling over or leaning backwards. A shame as the likeness is very good.

FUUUUUUUUCKKKK!!!!
Found all the new box sets in B&M Glossop EXCEPT the one I desire: McGann!!!!
ARRRHGGHHHH.
Far less of the other two BF sets than the other new releases and some space on the shelf so I reckon the McGann's were plundered.
I am not happy!
I did not know the War Doctor Sonic Screwdriver toy existed until I saw it.
