GB says sales staff in B&M questioned about what's in the system have said Oct 18th for the Doctor & TARDIS set (rumoured to be Hartnell). That might well be when the next sets are due too. May also slip I suppose. Apparently there are 9000+ of each set.

Three of the four B&Ms that I can get to now show now sign at all of there ever having been Who toys. No shelf tickets, no nothing. Questioned by the till lady in one tonight why I was leaving without buying anything, I explained that the Who figures are just so hard to come by. Her reaction made it pretty clear they're used to people trying to find them.
It was funny, at another one as I approached I could see a man ahead of me marching purposefully toward the entrance too. I thought, I know what you're after, and sure enough, we both paraded fruitlessly up and down the toy aisles, scowling and trying to pretend we hadn't noticed each other.
So - general call for help - if anyone's near a B&M please do check, and if you find a History of the Daleks set 7 (the one with the Gold dalek in) I'd be eternally grateful. I await the results of Ralph's investigations tomorrow!

I have B&M's 2 and 3 on my route tomorrow. I will not fail! Said route also takes me past a Game where I have been told a discounted Sky Lynx has been sighted.
LET FORTUNE FAVOUR US BOTH.

The Dalek set #7 has arrived from Ralph! This has made me very happy. These two are GLORIOUS. The paint job on the drone is spot on. I look forward to delving into the loft boxes to find the older versions of these figures to compare.

History of Daleks #3 and #4 eluded me at the time so was surprised to find them on Ebay for RRP! #3 turned up today (looks very nice), #4 in the post. I will then be up to date with B&M Dalek 2-packs!
I presume #6 and #8 will be the next two?
It's odd. I rarely bothered with DW toys when figures were everywhere but there's something about these Daleks two-packs that just calls to me...

What seems to happen is that the scalpers overbuy stock, can't shift it all and eventually reduce it to retail. I'm pretty sure that was how I got set #2. Yes, 6 and 8 are due in a few weeks (Evil and Planet).
I think the nice thing about these sets is that they create a chronology, and after lots of 'great, but this bit's the wrong shape/colour' these feel like definitive versions of all the previous Daleks. The gold one is a good example, the original release of that had the wrong ear lights, then the first B&M reissue fixed that but some pieces were still the wrong colour I think. This third version is screen accurate.

Okay... not the most exciting of waves it has to be said, but there's interesting things going on here.
Earthshock - not even a Cyberman? But then I suppose they've all been done before many times and there were two androids. Not really any different to the last two sets.
First Doc & TARDIS - this pairing is the same as the original first Doc & TARDIS release eleven years ago. Same figure, although that does look like a new Hartnell head sculpt and the trousers on the original were grey. Have to get the old one with the hat on out to check the head. The difference is the TARDIS - new roof as well as a new lamp. First time we've had a new TARDIS roof on a classic TARDIS since the original three releases.
The Evil set is as you'd predict, and you can see why they didn't release this with the Power one. Theonly difference is the pupil on the eye of the silver one. The Planet set I'm surprised the Supreme hasn't reappeared, especially because they could have used the new ears moulded for last year's Jungles of Mechanus Daleks. I'm really surprised it's two drones, they've done neat stuff before with that story like having a half transparent one. It's really cheap just to put out two more of the drone from the Day set. However, I'm not going to complain because it means the Day Supreme will have three drones to support him. Many people will have bought multiple Day sets to do exactly that.

Indeed and I had thought of that but now I will get this new set instead.
Blimey. The last lot only just reached (some) shelves! Bit quick to have another wave!

It's what happened last year. Before that there was six months or more between them. At the moment the restock for the first wave seems to be... the second wave.
The more I think about the Planet set, the more bizarre it seems. "You know that toy you just bought, here's two more identical toys in a slightly different box." The Planet Supreme is a unique figure and these sets so far have included the leaders where possible. There has to be a reason why it's not in this set.

History of the Daleks #4 arrived today. I am in too deep now. I'll buy anything that says 'History of the Daleks' on it.
I never bothered buying Character Dalek toys before. They figured out how to get me.

They're really good though. Fantastic scale model Daleks. I love em to bits. Which is why I have, err, 61 of them apparently. Plus the new series ones, which must be at least another twenty or so.
Reading the forums, two things have come to light: Al Dewar has said the Planet set is set one, which tells us History #9 will be the Plamnet Supreme and the half invisible one. Presumably for cost saving, this time round it was easier to knock out more Day drones than it was to worry about the paint apps needed for the other two. Thing two: apparently there is a 50/50 split in the Five Doctors set of standard Cybermen and the black handlebarred leader. The promo picture makes it look like there's been some texturing on the boots since the last time they were used, but it might be just paint. If they're unchanged that means the standard Cyberman will be the same figure that was in the 2017 B&M Monsters three pack (with the Tomb Controller and randomly a new series Sontaran), but the Cyberleader will be a variant because we've not had a black handledbarred version of that figure.
If the split is true and the paint job is different enough to the last one to warrant being called a variant, I would imagine there will be a surplus of Five Doctors Pertwees and Rastons on eBay because people will be wanting both Cybermen.

Wandering back a few years, these are the other two Planet Daleks that have been done and will presumably be Set #9 next year. Having checked I didn't realise the Supreme hasn't been reissued since it's original release in 2008. And this is why the new Day gold Dalek is cool, the previous version had a black neck and so wasn't screen accurate. That said, compared to screen caps, the new one might be *too* gold.

I presume set #10 will be Death to the Daleks?
I'm trying to work how many History of the Daleks sets there could be, especially if they go on to cover stories from 2005-2021.

#10 should be. That will probably be two silver Daleks, one with a machine gun arm one with a normal arm. Genesis was originally a four pack when it came out: Davros, the Doctor and two different grey drones. There could be any number of different combinations. Destiny had a four pack with two light grey Daleks that had different bases, but there was a separate release that had a suicide Dalek with the bombs round it.
New series there are loads and loads if you go into all the obscure ones they've done like the stone effect Paradigm one from the Pandorica story.
