There are reports online of folk receiving the standard retail version rather than the £15-more deluxe full bells and whistles one in their CO Online order. Al of CO is looking into it on Gallifrey Base I now await mine arriving with great trepidation. I had thought it was too easy to buy an actual ******* Doctor Who toy for once without any stress. -ralph I have survived the lottery and got the right one. Mmmm. Like the in-show prop there's nothing 'wrong' with it. Sounds! Lights! Pop-out bits! Very shiny...but it doesn't sit right in the hand and is a bit of a faff. Hopefully it will grow on me. The 14th's sonic has never left my work desk since the day I got it: fabulous toy. 15's is...fine? -Ralph |

Ah, now I get why it's not doing much for me. Put it on a flat surface with your hand on it...and it looks and feels like a wireless computer mouse. Humph. No wonder I don't feel any magic when I pick it up. The design also lacks swooshability. It's awkward to hold in a Doctor Who-ish manner. Nowt wrong with this as a toy. The lights and sounds are good. Nice colours. Character have done a good job of translating this from prop to toy. The issue I think is that the prop design it's based on...just isn't very good when you see it in 3d. Oh well!  -Ralph |

Checked another B&M. Nowt. No one on Gallifrey Base has found Emperor Davros/Daleks either. What are B&M playing at??

I had occasion to go to a B&M yesterday lunchtime, and the only Who they had was last year's stuff. I'll be passing another one later today, so I'll keep my eyes open. And also go in and have a look.

Have a good hunt in store. No shelf tags and Davros was in a different part of the shop than where I found HOTD. I could easily have missed them.
The Davros horde was partly behind some other toys.

The scalpers round here are rife. You have to strike lucky and be in the shop on the day they put them out. I see from the map you posted yesterday they were in one of the four shops I can get to, the one that actually does get these sets but is the most awkward to get to. I'll keep looking.

15th and Ruby ordered from Character. Reckon these will have a better paint deco than the retail ones and I don't go 100% on the new series line so I'll have these and be done. Just need a TARDIS now.

The B&M I was in had many Davri, but no History of the Daleks #18 sets. The shelves were, however, overflowing with HotD 15, 16 and 17. Which, as a non-collector of Daleks, confused me, and I had to do much checking to be sure that none of them were actually 18 with a different hat on. |
