What is the most expensive* Transformers toy you own?
*Not what you think it's worth, but how much you paid for it.

Would be £59.99 for Unicron & MP Prime original price.
I did prepaid for RID Previews release Fort Max - but got refunded after Diamond cancelled it. Think that was about £80.

Discounting Botcon boxsets which is a bit cheating, definately e-hobby Omega Sentinel. Not sure what I was thinking really. I mean, he's pretty but not £100 pretty. I may sacrifice him to the altar of ebay at some point to pay for that other giant robot 'Rent'

Not counting Botcon also (which in truth aren't that expensive once the price is split between 5 or 6 figures) I think it would be either Masterpiece Megatron from HLJ due to a ridiculous paintful cuta incident or Grand Max due to shipping from Japan.
.........Forget all that I bought a Liokaiser gift set for about £350 shipped. But I sold it very shortly afterwards.

Oddly enough, I tend to sell on a lot of my expensive figures. Half the thrill is in finally being able to own them, but then I can't really justify having an expensive toy on the shelf when I have bills to pay.
But oh, to own something mad, even for a few months!

MP Grimlock came cost me the RRP £60.
MP Optimus Prime set me back slightly less, coming from eBay at £59.
I also acquired MP Megatron via eBay, and I have a sneaking suspicion that he cost about the same, but then there was extra postage, so he probably came to £70.
When I started thinking about buying Transformers a year or so ago, I swore to myself that I wouldn't pay a lot. (This was after I'd bought half-sized versions of the Coneheads, all three of which combined came to a little over £20, and which I put down to one-off extravagance.) I failed.

Probably the Overlord I bought a few Auto Assembly's ago I should think. I don't think I have paid more for a single Transformers toy than I did for that. (It is not my most expensive toy though, just the most expensive Transformer).

The most I spent on a single TF wasn't even for me. I bought the Masterpiece Optimus Prime which came with the trailer and whatnot for my brother. Cuz I'm a generous individual. I think it was about £200, but I honestly can't remember. For myself, it was probably Masterpiece Grimlock or (does it even count?) Fansproject Warbot Defender.

Loose Jetfire, complete except for gun clip, £50 from Paul H at Memorabilia in Birmingham, about ten years ago.

£160 on a Deszaras a few years back. Now gathering dust somewhere in my parents house. You know, that would make an exponentially more interesting plot for "Beast Wars: The Gathering". Oh what could have been!

Oh good question. Prob around the 60 to 80 squid mark for me as well, the likes of MP Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Optimus, Megatron, Marvel Masterworks Galactus.

I'm not sure that I've personally spent more'n twenty quid on an individual Transformer. The Seacon box at last years AA may be my most expensive TF box.

Or the Blaster reissue? Wasn't he a bit more than Phiranacon?

Thinking about it, I may have paid 90 squid for MP Megatron, when he first came out. Eeeek.

Or the Blaster reissue? Wasn't he a bit more than Phiranacon? Don't think so... Besides, he too had more robots in the box. I think the Seacons were £60-ish, Blaster & Co. £45. Damn my failing memory! WHO AM I??

I do remember spending a very large amount on a Reflector many years ago, god knows how I even had the money back then. I say very large, but around £200 I believe, definitely would not be paying that now!

Don't mean to 'do a Doc', but I wanted to ask this very question- and found an existing thread for it!
My record was smashed when I bought Green Giant a couple of years ago for, blimey, over £200, £230/£240? A lot of meat balls. Offical TF-wise, err, prob around the £60-80ish mark still for your MP10 types.

Ah but I was thinking about this as I reread my post in this thread. Liokaiser and Green Giant are made up of 6 toys. And at least in Liokaisers case they were available individually. So really it wasnt that much.
4 years on I think reissue Fort Max must have leap frogged MP Megatron by some distance and maybe/probably Grand Max (wish I could remember how much I paid for him)

Still the £400 Brave Max and I don't regret a single penny of it.
I have bought two other three figure TFs this year: 103.49 for Cloud Rodimus and £159.25 inc postage and CUTA for Star Saber.
Superion & Menasor are probably both 3 fig toys, but purchased as separate items.

The most expensive Transforming toy I have bought individually was MakeToys Utopia, that was over £300 I think. The most expensive Transformer was a shared spot with £200 on a boxed Deszaras, that I still miss to this day
