They don't. Little grey monochrome figures on the Japanese versions, look like they're painted here. Not seen a side by side but they're bigger than the originals pilots.

What are they doing?!!
The last relaunch line looked great and they ignored that, and now they've stuck lots of silly anime figures in them and fisher-priced the colours!
Oi! Hasbro! NO.

I do wish they'd go back to the original pilots-in-the-cockpit premise - that's what I liked about Zoids. Still, on the other hand, it's helping me to resist this. So, lose-win I guess.

I'm sadly not so sure.
Given there is enough of a selling point with it having early Grant Morrison work, it would have been done by now.

His Action Force work has also never been reprinted. Actually, where the fuck are my Action Force UK trades??

Just been looking back through this thread to join the dots. So Zoids Wild is the recent Takara line that didn't appear through the import shops here, then turned up on a Hasbro poster at a toy expo in France last year and is now actually coming out in the US, but it looks like Hasbro have stylised the pilots to turn them into characters, whereas the Takara versions are mostly just transparent humanoid figures.
You know, if these do make it to a shop we can buy easily from, I will cave and buy a few at least.

No, I wouldn't count on Hasbro UK having them, but I thought our import shops might pick them up when they get released in the US. Don't forget we had news they're redubbing the anime that goes with this for the west, so it sounds like a reasonably high profile line launch. I'd get very excited about a new Zoids line, to the point I may even cope with the silly pilots.
