Zoids Wild is finally getting a Western release! We saw these originally in Feb 2018!
- Netflix dub of the cartoon - no sprues - precut pieces - faster motors than the Takara equivalents to facilitate exciting battles

I hate that I find myself being such a Zoids Geewunner, but I just can't get on board with these. I mean, I absolutely *love* the designs, they're great. But the pilots ride *on* them, and not *in* them, and for some reason in my mind that breaks what Zoids are. Clearly I'm the problem here. But glad that they are getting a release here, because maybe that'll pave the way for proper Zoids- STOP IT LLAMA.

My solution to this very real problem is not to put the pilots on the Zoids.
However I note that ID and Star have put up today's reveals and the Zoids are not there. They're on bbts though, so I guess this is going to have to be an import job. Well I mean I suppose they were originally, but I never found anywhere to get them. Wave one is 4x beta ($12) 2x Mega ($22) and 3x Giga ($32)

I must investigate this. I've just realised this isn't the US launch range, this is Japanese stuff, but a broad spread of numbers. It's Zoids Wild, but what and from where?

I see from Facebook this is a random find ID have bought in cheap and they aren't getting any more. That makes these less appealing because there won't be any way to fill in the missing ones. They did say though they're getting the Hasbro line, which according to the Amazon.com preorders are due to drop next month. So I might hang on and go in from the ground up. It's tempting but I've spent quite a bit this month already.

I spent a while looking at this to see what's what. You know, Hasbro aren't releasing these in the same order as they were done in Japan. They've missed a fair few interesting ones out and picked figures from the first three Japanese waves. They look like they're unchanged colour-wise though, they've just changed the pilots from the translucent featureless human shapes the Japanese ones seem to have to full blown mini anime characters. And according to that PR that came a whole back they've got stronger motors.

I randomly stumbled across Japanology Plus on a TV channel in the high 500s last week, at the exact moment where Zoids are declared to be the future of Moon travel (while Unicron stands menacingly in the background).
"Is this a sandbox?" "No, actually this recreates the surface of the moon."

It has been a long long time since I last bought a Zoid
Reviewing what I think I have in the loft poked a few buttons and I have just spent money I didn't have on several of the original/European colour schemes (there's 4 of the side swappers in the lot I bought, one I had already)
I also have a hit list for when I have money

Here's what was in the lots that arrived yesterday 1984 Hydrazoid (Furolesios) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/FurolesiosPlesiosaurus The only whitehead in the lot, and the only whitehead I own (I've got Trooperzoid/Godos & Sorpozoid/Guysack, which used the head mould in different colours) 1985 Slitherzoid (Molga) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/MolgaCouldn't stand this Zoid growing up, no head, didn't seem to do much except roll along on wheels. Then I got a Molga and it's amazing, possibly the best small wind up Zoid. I've had a 2000s Molga for years, with it's tweaked colours, and have a Cannonary Molga, but never owned the original Slitherzoid colours before. 1986 Tarantulon zoids.fandom.com/wiki/GargantulusRed Zoid version of the Spiderzoid, European exclusive which swaps the original whitehead for a Red version of the Red Zoids standard head, which had all been silver till now. Fellow recolour Terrared, Slime and Z-Ray from the same year all also have red heads. Already had one of these Zaton (Geruder) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/GeruderHad Zunder as a kid but never Zaton. Have had both for several years now so another duplicate. I'll either have to find a Zunder owner that needs one or buy another Zunder so they're paired. Z-Ray (Sinker) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/SinkerThis I liked the look of as a youngster but when I got the 2000s release Sinker it disappointed me. Much better in the original colours Zark (Pterasu) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/PterasZark interested me. At the time he looked a pocket money sized Krark, and I suppose he is in many ways. But why did he have the more open cockpit? It was many years later that I found out he (and Krark) were blue Zoids in Japan. So why didn't they change the cockpit for the recoloured European exclusive? Looks amazing in the plastic. 1987 Scarab (Saicurtis) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/SaicurtisScarab has always been a bit meh for me and I never got on with the 2000s Saicurtis. It's only now that I realise the 2000s Saicurtis has the colours of most of the toy (bar the legs) swapped between releases. Much better in the original arrangement. Zillon (Iguan) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/IguanAt the time: Trooperzoid upgrade, and the Blues have now got the Red cockpit design. Now I realise that it's a Red Zoid repainted as a blue. Zore (Hammerock) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/HammerockZore I had at the time, he's a small Gor, result, thought nothing more of it and I just assumed the Blues had the Red Cockpit design. Finding out Gor and Zore were both Red Zoids in Japan was a shock, and the original Hammerrock has drastically different colours. Still need one of those but have a pair of the 2000s release Hammerrock which uses very similar colours to this. On the Blue side I've got original coloured Trooperzoid & Scorpozoid from the Godos & Guysack Zoids Graphics and Krok & Kannon are quite similar to the 2000s Barrigator & Cannon Tortoise release. Trooperzoid (Godos) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/GodosScorpozoid (Guysack) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/GuysackKroc (Barigator) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/BarigatorKannon (Cannon Tortoise) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/Cannon_TortoiseOn the red side I've got a Zoids Graphics Malder, Slime in his original colours, and Hellcat. Zunder I tracked down some years ago. Slime (Malder) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/MalderHellcat (Helcat) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/HelcatZunder (Zatton) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/ZattonSo of the post whitehead European wind up releases I need a Hellrunner, which we had as kids, Spineback, Terrared and Znake. Hellrunner (Marder) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/MarderSpineback (Gator) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/GatorTerrared (Glidoler) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/GlidolerZnake (Snakes (G4)) zoids.fandom.com/wiki/Stealth_ViperOf the unreleasd in Europe small wind up Zoids I have Double Sworder & Storch's colour tweaked Japanese 2000s releases, both not that far from the original, and the Zoids Graphics releases of Sea Panther and Twin Horn Double Sworder zoids.fandom.com/wiki/Double_SworderStorch zoids.fandom.com/wiki/StorchSea Panther zoids.fandom.com/wiki/Sea_PantherTwin Horn zoids.fandom.com/wiki/Twinhorn
