I'm thinking of putting some of my old comics on eBay. It'll mainly be IDW, DW and a few BotCon/OTFCC/FunPub bits.
What's the best way to approach it? A lot of 6 or so issues, bundled as "one TPB's worth of story"?

Bundle the stuff that is in arcs, sell the notable things that are individual issues seperately. Definately sell the Botcon/Fun Pub stuff separately, that's the sort of thing people would want per-issue rather than as a lot.

For example, Tales of the Beast Wars #1 that came with Fractyl/Packrat?

It might be a hell of a lot, it might not. Honestly with the convention comics, it might be wise to put those as normal auctions. Definately for that one I think (also stick it in the main TF auction section rather then the comics section, stuff gets lost there) |

For some reason Botcon 97s exclusives are all over the place price wise. I paid $75 at BC07 for a complete set the same weekend one sold for $350.
For some reason more boxes and Packrats got made than comics and Fractyls so theres a whole bunch of people out there who bought a boxed Packrat (I got one on ebay from Sven Harvey in this state because the box was a lot nicer condition than the one I already owned) who probably would like to add a comic, but its down to if any of them are looking at the time.
On a good day the comic could go high but I also would not be at all suprised if it only went for 99p. Actually I would be suprised, but not utterly shocked.

I would be shocked if it ever sold at that, given the box set it comes in usually goes for about 150-ish. I dunno? 20-30 quid maybe? Is that too high? Stick it as an auction and see what happens. |
