A game played by Ralph and I. Follow the links on youtube and end up watching a film - often of dubious quality. However Saturday night we hit upon a decent film. Colossus: The Forbin project based on a novel about a defence computer for the US becoming sentient. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQjebwUrhvcThis is part 1, all of the film is available from this uploader. Well worth watching. Andy

The rule of youtube movie roulette being that once you start watching a film, you must keep going to the end, no matter how low the viewing numbers may drop.

I watched the first 7 minutes the other week and was reeled in.
Going to try and watch it again in its entirety today since I gotta rest up. If George takes Blaise down her nans I can have some quiet time.
I will say its really well shot and with lots of wide shots chucked in to give a feel for the setting. I'm all up for watching classical Hollywood stuff.

Excalibur is gloriously bizarre. It does rather feel as if non-one could make up their minds which version of the Arthurian canon they wanted to do and so tried to make all of them simultaneously. Very entertaining to watch however.

It is, indeed, bonkers. Merlin is awesome. It's almost like he can't quite believe what he's stumbled into.

Utter pain was endured courtesy of the most awful film I have seen. It's Alive - a horror film about an evil baby.
It's awful, in that it was bereft of any excitement, action or scenes in poor taste. Agonisingly dull.

This evening's film was SHAKMA, a tale of a baboon on a quest to kill LARPA's!

It is a thing of great beauty.
Also, he really hates doors.

You can't beat a good 'when animals attack' film.

Indeed not, and one so joyous in execution and yet such a downbeat ending.

There are Scots in Space films, I mean as a genre as opposed to just films in space that happen to have Scots folk in them? I had no idea.
