6 Page preview of Millar & Hitch's FF Fully lettered preview is up at NewsaramaLooks pretty enough. Now the big question is will Ralph with his distaste for Mark Millar fighting against his complete love of the FF be able to stop himself from picking this up? Place your bets now kids! Andy

That was back in the days when I had a higher disposable income and was in thrall to FF completism. Since then I have rid myself of Byrne and JMS FF and am a student who watches every penny. Budget wise, dropping FF after the last McDuffie issue suits me.
Can't stand Millar as a writer. I think Hitch is very poor these days. His pencils lack life and energy. Very stiff, little movement.
Nothing in that preview entices me. I don't like the art, story feels decompressed and the characters are off. And does anyone honestly expect a Hitch comic to come out on time? Piffle.
When I next need my FF fix, the Simonsons volume shall be procured.

To be honest I have my doubts. I do think Hitch has gone too far with the ultra realism.
Millar can be a good writer at times but sadly he's been indulged too much by TPB at Marvel.
Ah the Simonson run on FF. A classic especially New FF with Art Adams on the pencils. Love that little trade of it.

Spiderman is getting back to being like Wolverine with turning up all over the place & them his own titles [many of the other titles Spidey shows up in also feature Wolverine on the team]. We've had lots of Spidey ongoing cancelled again. We've still got amazing & adventures Spiderman. but Peter Parker, Web, Spiderman, have all gone.

You guys are so rude!
So, Spidey, ike Wolverine, is in TWO Avengers titles, his own title and now Spidey is in FF?! I like both these characters very much, but I think it gets a bit daft when they're in EVERYTHING!

So the FF are back. I picked up #1 but for a $6 issue (yes, really)...no. My thoughts echo that of the Impossible Man on the humour page at the back. I shall wait and see if Paninivision cover it at a later date.
Seriously, what were Marvel thinking when they had the idea for a six dollar first issue? Could at least have chucked in a card cover for that price!

The card cover went on the deluxe reprint of the original Issue 1...

Pretty excited by this! Still need to pick up the latter two X-men volumes right now. I assume it'll follow the same format.

It's the name of the X-Men series which took all the material from Uncanny X-Men 1 to I believe 280 and wove it into a single narrative.
Now they are doing the same with a chunk of the FF.
