Dinobots since dinosaurs are amazing, triplechangers a close second.

I'm the reverse of Blue'. Tripple changers pip it over the Dinos. Third Constructicons. Great year this one!

Dinobots since dinosaurs are amazing, triplechangers a close second. I couldn't agree more with your choices! Snarl was the only Dinobot I actually had as a kid (soon changed that when Classics came around!), but never owned a Triple Changer (again, until the Classics). A friend did have Astrotrain and brought it to school once, and I fell in love with the concept immediately.

It's a difficult one. I love the Insecticons and Constructicons, but I had to vote for the Autobot cars again. I mean, Tracks, Inferno, Grapple and Skids were all new models as far as the TF line goes, and beat all the other 1985 toys as far as I'm concerned.

Dinobots. I still think they are the best looking group of Transformers in both modes. Robot dinosaurs in one mode and huge brutes as robots. Even the kibble added to their look rather than detract (except for Slags tail). If any group need need an update that doesn't change the look or transformation its these guys. I feel bad for the Insecticons because they are in most respects as good as the Dinobots, but they just don't seem as cool. Must track down the TRU reissues.
Second place for me are the Jumpstarters, simple but great fun.
Constructicons third. As I got the Wollies release I don't think of them as 85 TF's, if I did they might be higher.
Triplechangers were always better in concept than execution for me. Sandstorm, Astrotrain and Octane were good, Blitzwing not bad but Broadside and Springer both had fairly week modes. Robot modes were all a bit weak except for Octane.

I surprise myself sometimes. After all, Dinobots are robots who are dinosaurs and Insecticons are only bug-bots..... But in this case the bugs have it. I don't know why but I think in retrospect they just nudge out the Dinobots.

For the purposes of this poll, the only Triple Changers are Blitzwing and Astrtrain. The other four came a year later.
I gave away my Dinobots. The characters never really appealed to me, and they don't have disguise modes. I liked their uniform colour schemes, but not as much as the Insecticons'.

I'm a big fan of the uniform colour schemes on the likes of the Dinobots, Constructicons and Insecticons.
