Which "Sub Group" of Transformers from 1993 is the best?

I've voted for the Axelerators... At the time I loved the return to the "Mini" Autobots, plus realistic vehicle modes (despite the pink windows) and nice silver weapons that were part of the vehicle modes. Skram was my favourite, but Hotrider (I think that was the name) loses points for not being able to see in robot mode.

Obliterators for me - the sculpts on the humanoid modes are really nice. Especially Pyro but Clench/Colossus is no slouch either. The vehicle modes look good as well and the toys feel very chunky and solid in ones hands. The rotary and gravity feed missile launchers are quite fun as well.

Wow this is my dark period. I didn't buy a single one of these toys during 1993. I probably only got 3 Transformers on 93, G2 Starscream, Hubcap and G1 Prime second hand. Maybe also some of the remaining classics line up to.
I bought the Aquaspeeders and Stormtroopers from TRU late 95 (maybe 94) and Zap Christmas 95 early Jan 96 from my local toy shop that was closing.
So on the whole I don't have much of an opinion on these lines, but once I got them I did enjoy the stormtroopers. I still find it odd that the US took the Aquaspeeders which always seemed the weaker of the two sets. Must have been based on them being perceived as having the better gimmick.

People ask me about 1993's toysrange and I automatically think 1992's poorer cousin.

The Obliterators are the only choice. Big and chunky with unique play features, crazy colour schemes and packed with character.

I always remember how ridiculous the sticker designs were for some of the 1993ers. Like daggers and things like that as if they were in the Neon SAS!

I feel I should like Clench and Pyro more than I do. I really like Pyros alt mode though.

My Pyro is snapped in two thanks to GPS. Will have to fix or replace him one of these days.

I suspect that GPS is the reason I've never found one.
