I know by now you all have seen the 2011 Botcon set. I for one was really disappointed by Dragstrip and Motormaster * i own several nemesis primes, plus the original Motormaster and even LOC Menasor... i must say, this botcon version is just sad..LAZY and just ..well its nothing spectacular. even the Color Scheme is Wrong..for the love of primus, at least get your color scheme right if your intent is to replicate the originals in animated versions i felt there could have been more effort made. so with that in mind ** please keep in mind, its been about 3yrs since i redesigned/recolored anything.. I present a more G1-esque Transformers Animated Motormaster as always, feedback is welcomed ~ nem

That is exactly how it should have been done. Way to fumble the ball, Hasbro.

I said when they revealed it that they should have used the Wreck-Gar mould - and you've just proved it!

That is exactly how it should have been done. Way to fumble the ball, Hasbro. Hasbro have nothing to do with it, Fun Pub come up with the mold choice and decos, Hasbro just approve it. (Apparently Wreck Gar wasn't even considered)

actually wreck gar was considered for a moment..i beleive the designers name was peter billings and he said, using the wreck gar mold just didnt do it for him, he and Mr Optimus Prime had it out on facebook over it... and apparently his elitism spread across TFandom that Motormaster as a trash truck is a bad, degrading thing... i think its perfect.. for a decepticon who lives only to crush and mangle autobots, a trash truck is ideal... i wish the people who design this exclusives would use a little bit more creativity and imagination.. then we move on to Dragstrip, which no one seems to care that the only FEMALE mold in the entire animated line that was ever released was used on him, but then again who knows, maybe its in the name Dragstrip o.O either way.. Thanks for all the feed back ~ nem

i dont think they were given an alternative.. i hadnt seen any other images of what this mold would look like, at least not anything decent.. just heard and thought what a lot of others thought... so i took out my G1 Motormaster along with my MTMTE issue #6 and sat down and really thought, ** what would i do ** and i think the over all dividing factor is "Wreck Gar" - its either love or hate and it seems people cant or dont want to get past that this could have been an entirely new and original figure., and not just another "optimus repaint" which IMO doesnt even work, the colors are all just wrong.. o well, like i said other places, thats why image editors were invented

Nice digibash there.
However, I would like to point out that a repaint of Prime as Motormaster was in the Allspark Almanac. If they'd went with Wreck-Gar there would have been an equally noisy shitstorm from fandom about it.

I'm not even a fan of the 'Animated' style, but damn that looks much better!
