Which "Sub Group" of Transformers from 1992 is the best?
Hasbro really went out if its way with imaginatively titled sub groups this year!
(And, please, no nitpicking about the choices, just vote; it's the last one before... Clash of the Sub Groups!)

Thats some hard choices. I only got one Transformer in 1992 that was first released in 1992 (snare) partly due to the comic ending dampening my interest and partly because I got a Snes for christmas which heavily impacted on the number of pressies. but its g
Its gone on to be one of my faves though. I think it's down to the armless combiner or the best G1 brick of them all. (Rotorstorm). Or maybe Skyquake for making Hyperdrive official cannon.

I remember walking into Zodiac Toys in Peterborough in '92 and almost dropping to my knees in gratitude that "real" new* Transformers were back again!
I bought the Rescue Force jet and Flash there and then. It was a wonderful day.
*New, as in new, not the reissued Classics.

Small Predators by a country mile. Proper small jets at affordable prices with a missile launcher they could use in both modes, an action feature to enhance larger toys and the first light piped eyes.
And they're Euro exclusives.
Everything else is great too, but Rescue Force, as much as I love them, gets marked down for missing two of the jets. The Constructicons, making their first official UK appearance, also get marked down for loosing their combining pieces.
A fabulous year to be a UK TF fan. If you asked me what my favourite year of Transformers toys was I'd vote 92 without hesitation!

I think the Classics are probably what stopped me buying more of these. I didn't have even half the figures released as classics so during the summer holiday when we usually spent a week or so "down south" visiting family I was probably busy getting the last of the triple changers. Our two week holiday was spent in Florida were I grabbed lots of heavily marked down actionmasters and micromasters. For my birthday I have a memory of choosing between Thunderclash and Overlord and choosing the latter and then christmas was a snes.
So really the whole line passed me by, not out of lack of interest, just time and money.

I'm going to have to back the small Predators here. Small jets with great face sculpts and really nice choices of alt-modes. Winners all the way for me.

Small Predators easily.
Should have included Yellow non-combiner Constructicons though! (Sorry Graham - had to mention it!)

Oh, I completely forgot to mention... the return of proper spring loaded missile launchers was a big, big, plus!
But never mind that, I've got the kettle on for a lovely hot, fresh cup of tea! Mmmmmm....
