And people say our government is too soft on immigrants.
I would ask of whoever stamped that particular form if they can still sleep at night.

Typical of the people who run this country. They kick out the hard-working individuals but keep the criminals because they're afraid of abusing their human rights.

"The cancer she is suffering from - malignant myeloma - would ordinarily be treated with a bone marrow transplant, but she was not entitled to the treatment."
Not entitled? Not ENTITLED? What the... I...
I'm having a look at google to see if there's some sort of fundraiser to pay for her treatment back in Ghana. All I can find are news sites, blogs and idiots shouting at each other about immigration. If anybody spots one, please give me a shout. I know it's only one person in a world full of poverty and disease but given that it's my government officials that had her deported I feel somehow more responsible.

I agree with the sentiments expressed in this thread, but I trust that everyone who gets outraged about this poor lady not getting her bone marrow transplant she needs (and who doesn't have medical reasons for opting out) is on the bone marrow register. The general population's apathy/squeamishness is responsible for more people failing to get this treatment than deportation by the Home Office. Martin
