Attention writers!
Have you old stories (text or strip) that haven't been seen, read or talked about in a good few years? I think you should dust them off and showcase them back on the Internet!
You could post them here, add them to the Underbase, put them on your blog/web site or film yourself reading them aloud on Youtube.
Or, even better, let's have something new from you!

I prefer to leave a lot of my old stuff gathering dust, to be honest. I will provide it to interested parties on an individual basis, but don't really wish for it to be 'showcased' by me or anyone else.
But I'm enjoying doing a bit of new stuff at the mo! And there's more to come!

As for your old stuff, I was actually browsing through my Welsh On A Deal disc last night... there are some real gems from a lot of members in there. And, just to inflate your ego a little, when I first joined TMUK I was glued to your Masterforce stories and Beyond the Dream as well. Also the untold stories of Nebulous as well, was very well done.

Every now and then I'll try to do something but I just can't seem to get a TF story out of myself. I occasionally have vague ideas that turn in to a comedic take - sadly minus any funny

I have been wrestling with some dreadful writers block at the moment

I recently tried to write something again - it has been a gap of many years! - but didn't finish it. I'm off work on holidays at the moment but ironically have far too much work to do on them to sit and write TF

How about setting a word limit, even if it's just 100 words?
I've had terrible writer's block in recent months. Committing to a fixed amount of pages to stories in a regular fanzine can actually be quite stifling, creatively. Especially so if it's a multi-part work.
Sometimes it can refreshing to just write a story with no "publishing" end point and just post it online when it's done.
Plus, for me, getting feedback is a huge, huge motivator.

Hey Graham if your publishing company can publish books and you wanted to print some kind of TMUK the best fanfiction volume 1 book, I'd buy one.

Comics and magazines we can and do print all day long, but, alas, a book is something we can't print as we don't have the equipment to do book binding.
Nice idea, though!

I have several currently unfinished things, and some unstarted ideas floating around my head, which I must get around to polishing off and posting up here and on the egroup. I seem to have been caught in a bit of a block-cycle recently where I keep starting things but not finishing them.
Perhaps you have just delivered the kick I need to unjam myself a bit.
Karl (as to representing some older stuff. There is some I might, and some I would probably rather not to be honest. Perhaps a browse through my back catalogue might be undertaken after my hobilays to see what there is that might warrant a reairing on the inter-tubes).

I actually find reading through my old stuff (and often cringing at it) can lead to an injection of motivation.

Without a deadline I am nothing these days. Planned co-writing work for this year's AA mag will be done when the time crunch is upon me.
I haven't managed to write a full story since, er, 2007. Eeek. Real Life and all that got in the way. I suspect whatever gets churned out for the AA mag will either be a last hurrah or a fresh start, depending how painful it turns out to be!

I have a fun little action-based story set-up idea following directly on from the end of 'Ancient Relics'. I wonder, if I posted the start of it, whether there would be interest among writers here to make a round robin of it?
I don't mean anything heavy like things we've done in the past - the first part that I have in my mind is about one page in length.
Any interest?
