If you are scratching your head about the title, let me explain: I have perpetrated a CROSSOVER.
(I put this here since it seemed a stretch to put it in a sub-forum dedicated to the TV shows.)
Yes, that most heinous of fanfiction sins can be laid at my feet now. It does no good to plead that the makers of the G1 cartoon preceded me in this grave error pretty much to the jot and tittle. And I will not pass the buck.
Still, please rest assured that I plan to make good of it and (further) I plan to not to make a habit of perpetrating crossovers in the future.
So if anyone wants to vent, or (hopefully) discuss the relative merits of crossovers in TF fanfiction in general, then please do so.
