A Game of Thrones

Anyone else been watching this. Caught up with the first two episodes today.

Gripping stuff, fantasy setting, but without the overly fantastical elements and focusing on the political interplay, good swordfighting and a lot of the old hanky panky.

Sean Bean is in it, hence why some of the reports have kind of referred to it as Lord of the rings with boobs.

So far its living up to all my expectations from the books. Visually its amazing and I too like the more toned down magical setting.

I think they have aged a few of the girls a little to allow for the nudity, not a bad thing, but possibly will lose some of the children playing games vibe that comes later on.

Based on the pace so far it can run for 5+ years easily before catching up with the books.

Better yet Martins has announced the release date for the next book finally which will probably add an extra year or two to the series.

Lord of the Rings with boobs is a good way of describing it.

I caught up with the first episode today via Sky+ and have it on series link. Did'nt expect to see this much nudity or any at all. From the trailers I was expecting Sharpe with Broadswords.

Glad to see Mark Addy in a decent role again too.

Damn I knew it was coming since reading the book, but I was still shocked, my family were completely dumbstruck. Can't wait for the last episode now.

Last ep was brilliant; really lived up to my expectations... and not just mine, as somebody who's read the books, my girlfriend, who hasn't read them, was in floods of tears. If you've not read the books or haven't seen the tv show yet, get caught up.
