Wouldn't mind a replacement G1 Blitzwing.

Champ, there was a reissue of the original Blitzwing released in Japan a few years back. Might be worth tracking one down as it'd likely be cheaper than on original.

Yes - the TFC Blitzwing. A lovely toy.

Use this thread to alert fellow collectors of any Transformers with weak points, potential, predicted and actual breakages.

Vortex, Transformers Decepticon Combaticon.
The dark green plastic on Vortex has become very brittle and his entire waist assembly shattered into pieces during transformation (where one has to slide his waist forwards/backwards). Also the nose-mounted/hand gun is prone to snapping easily as well.

Wheeljack, Binaltech [Japan].
Blue paint details prone to flaking/chipping, particularly on the roof/lower legs.

Sausage Masters/Classics Rodimus: mine quickly got stress marks at the plastic on the arms beside the joint attaching them to the torso. I fear they may snap off if not careful when transforming.

Animated Blitzwing, the clip that hold the turret in place in tank mode. It clips together very easily but requires way to much force to pull apart. I'd recommend giving it a light sand or something before you transforming it even once. Mine already has stress marks from the one transformation.

The Pretender Monsters. I put Bristleback's gun into his fist and shattered it. Literally shattered. Gold plastic syndromeMost Targetmaster Decepticon guns that didn't have a built-in metal swivel point. Slugslinger and Misfire are particularly vulnerable. EDIT: If you find one of those knock-off WST Menasors, beware of Motormaster. I think everyone on here who bought one managed to snap off Motormaster's arms while transforming him. FURTHER EDIT: Beware of Detritus, or Hound for that matter, his hip bits / foot stand things need to swivel in robot mode, and I managed to snap one off quite easily.

Targetmaster Blurr: The raised rim of the hole on Blurr's chest/car top used to house gun-mode Haywire is prone to cracking/chipping.

Armada Scavenger - went to have a look at him the other day to find that his rubber treads have come apart and fallen off his arms. The same thing is happening to my original Bumblebee from '84. Also, all my Firecons look distorted in robot mode - I never noticed this before so I guess it is happening with age.

My God - this reads like a Macross figure forum!
I have had absolutely no problem with any Transformer at all EXCEPT long long ago my Robotmasters Starsaber's sword hilt broke because the fist hole was too small for it.
Upon securing a new one, I widened the fist hole so that the sword hilt could slide in the hole gently and - most importantly - be taken out without inflicting damage.
Go dammit! Why is it that whenever I talk about Star Saber there's no way to write about it without sexual innuendo!?

Transformers Superlink Kicker. Yeah, knee joints are brittle. Mine came broken (and I bought it whilst I was actually in Japan so can't complain about shipping).

Clear Car Robots Brothers 3-pack; The rubber on the tyres has perished and cracked, leading splits in the tyres so prominent that they easily fall off the wheels. I don't have any others of the CR/RiD "brothers" so I don't know if this is a universal problem.

Goldbug, Transformers Autobot Throttlebot; If you follow Goldbug's instructions exactly, you'll break both his arms off. That's exactly what I did 5 minutes after getting him when I was 9.

That's just upsetting. And there would have been no chance of his pal Blaster coming to his aid in the UK!

Last week I broke my Generation 2 Jolt... the plastic on that guy is really brittle. One of the legs snapped clean off.
Add to that my broken original Combaticon Vortex (replaced with the Encore version now) and my broken Sights (Jackpot's Action Master partner), I have three poorly robots in my collection.

Is the plastic on G2 Jolt that brittle? Mine has survived 20 years intact with his electonics still working to this day on the original battery

Graham - I'm 95% sure I have a spare pair of legs for Electro that you can have. I'll dig them out, I think it's just the waist elastic that's broken.

Remind me what batteries these guys take again. Our Jolt (purple one right?) is OK, although the waist is a bit loose.
We also have Sizzle (black car) still carded but the battery is dead. I get muddled up with these guys on who is who, and to top it off one of them is called Hot Rod. Never understood that.
