Holy c**p... He has the TakTomy Classics/Henkei store exclusive Skywarp, Thundercracker, Dirge, Thrust pretty cheap with few bidders and only a day to go. Be interested to see how these end up given the ridiculous price I paid for them new!
Of course the upcoming Asia Excl. set will no doubt have hurt the prices a little.

Description is even dodgier: Um, what? There're 2 items to buy on the auction and the Jazz has sold already, so only the Onslaught is available. To stop people trying to buy a Jazz that isn't there, he's changed the price to £1000. What he should have done was have 2 separate auctions, but doing it like this does save him 40p [possibly more!].

I thought it might be something like that, it was the "you have to pay 1000 gbp" that got me!

Well they're obviously empty from the image, unless I'm missing something else. £6 a pop for G1 boxes doesn't sound *terrible* especially if the buyer has the figures already

I suppose so. I just thought it was the old "X-Box box" type deal in that they were bidding on figures with boxes, but I just never thought anyone would pay what ended up being £42 plus £6.50 P&p just for some boxes. It seems I could be very wrong and underestimated the cost of boxes.

Some folk like to complete a vintage figure by having the paperwork, box etc and as time goes on boxes in decent condition will probably become genuinely rare and so go up in value for folk who like to display their vintage toys in packaging.

Considering that the guy would have skipped them if no one had made a BID, he must have been pleased with how he got for them.

Just looking at your post now, Urzu. That's Japan for you- the Yen is overvalued and the price of DVDs is crazy. That may not be far off the local retail price. In other news, this isn't crazily priced (in a world where $60 for an old toy ray gun isn't crazy) but I've never seen one before and it's just such a mental item. Note that the handle does not transform into legs. Crazy South American John-Woo-style dual wielding Shockwave

After the Protectorbot sweat, I think it's obvious that tweeting it would be the only sensible thing to do

I have put that in my watchlist out of curiosity; $4,500 and already a bid! They do look good in those colours.

I'm still not sure I like that. I want to wait until Hasbro show us their one.

I think Revolver looks fantastic, but if Whirl is voyager sized, he may be too small next to his pal. Warbot Defender, which Revolver looks to be the same size as, is larger Delux sized, smaller than a voyager. Show us what you got, Hasbro!
