It's doing the rounds on Twitter, from the man himself, that David Wise is coming to a UK Transformers convention in Birmingham.

I approve of this notion.

I must admit, I wasn't familiar with the name until I looked him up on the TFWiki.
A brilliant choice of guest!

He has oodles of experience on many cartoon shows and comes across well in interviews. He would be a good guest. If this is real. It would increase my motivation to go. The other guests are all cool, but I have seen them before!

It is just rumour at the moment, that seems to have come about, The exact reasons are a little unclear at the moment, but he would indeed be a welcome guest.

I can never remember any of the writers for the G1 cartoon [same with inkers on US comic upto about #60] - only Bob Forward on BW. But i could guess which ones a certain writer wrote if you name a few episodes.

I saw David Wise along with some of the other cartoon writers on a panel at BotCon. It was my favourite panel of the show, they were amusing fellows, so if he is a guest, it can only be a good thing.
And he wrote The Girl Who Loved Powerglide, which is amazing.

Yeah even my brother who isn't a fan sat through that panel and really enjoyed.

I've not checked - but didn't he write War Dawn too.

I think he did. And The Rebirth!
He did lots of MOTU episodes and was the principal writer on the original TMNT amongst other things. He recently wrote an episode of the audio series Gallifrey (Doctor Who spin-off).

He wrote THE REBIRTH! That is enough for me.

To heck with The Rebirth, he wrote The Girl Who Loved Powerglide! (No, I'm not being sarcastic, it's a favourite episode.)
