Yesterday, postie brought me a collection of Legends and Classics Mini-Cons that I bought on eBay. According to the listing, the Legends are Galaxy Force rather than Cybertron, though I don't know if there's any difference. He also brought me my movie DVD (Play.com exclusive edition), so double Karma points for Barry this week.

Picked up a G1 Reissue Prowl during a raid on ToysRus for Piglet Christmas prezzies (spent so much on the little thing!). My, 2, vintage are looking distinctly worst for wear, so a new one was vital for my growing Prowl collection. Looks great next to World's Smallest and Binaltech. Don't like the black gun/missiles though, I have replacements though.
With a blue "super" Rid comming from Primenova, the Prowl collection just needs: Machine Wars, Prowl2, Spychanger, Attackix and the ever elusive black SWAT Energon and Sam's Club Exclusive. Oh and a Grey Owl for completistness.

I got Movie scout Armourhide. A very little figure and in a nice grey, yellow, black colour scheme. He'd also pass easily as Classics Huffer, just a shame the mould had a first run as a generic Cybertron figure.
Very posable too. Vehicle mode also brilliant.

I hear a rumour Armourhide may be back in Wave 4 in another colour scheme. Go on, do a red cab ... Shockprowl: Energon SWAT Team review I'm so so on Prowl, but *love* Checkpoint - reminds me of J-Decker with the police truck thing. Is the Sam's Club exclusive the one with the Starscream ? In which case I have one here I'm willing to sell on. And RID Porwl at TFU.info may complicate things as there's 2 Prowl Spychangers, a Universe version and a clear version of Mach Alert

Classic Devastator arrived this morning. Never been huge on Energon but I seem to have gotten a bit completest with the classics (except the little tykes) Have to say its a surprisingly nice set of colours. Thinking of using it and my original energon ones to build a more G1 looking figure.

SAM'S CLUB PROWL?! OH OH OH!!! YES PLEASE Mr AYRES! Will PM you!
I much preffer the look of E.Prowl in black than blue. Check point looks good also. As I understand it, there's white RiD and blue RiD, thanks to Primenova I'll soon have both! Regards to spychangery types, again as I understand it, there's Spychanger, Prowl2 and there maybe a firechief's car that was called Prowl as well. That correct? It's all very confussing!

Ah, that's right. Uni Spychanger is the one I'm not bothered about, 'cos he doesn't look like Prowl. He shoulda been called Red Alert. But the other two, esp KB, look really nice Prowls. Machine Wars is similarly sized isn't he? Thanks for clearing that up!

I can't keep rack of all the Prowl's but there was the Universe spychanger Prowl that was re-painted in the colour scheme of the 1984 Prowl, if that hasn't already been mentioned.

It has.
MW Prowl is about twice the size of the Spychangers and is the white version of the racing car flipchanger mold.

Old news now, but I picked up Robot Replicas Frenzy the other day. Last of the movie toys for me... Unless we get the Towtruck/legless bumblebee with Mikaela pack over here.

Oh, MW Prowl sounds very nice. Didn't know he was as large as that. Thanks chief!
KB Spychanger resembles G1 Prowl alot, that the one you mean, Doc'?
Received a violently large box of goodies from that fine fellow Primenova. He really keeps his stuff in great condition. Amoung the treats was Bulkhead, whome I've been after for a bit, he, in the crazyworld of Shockprowl's "new"G1 collection is.... wait for it... no prizzes for guess mind... SPRINGER! I feel he works really well, esp the head/face sculpt, apart from the fact he ain't a triple-changer! But whatya gunna do?
Also a new E.Shockwave/blast, my old one snapped in half. Repaired, but he not right. I just love this mold! E.Slugslinger was in there also, he's gunna (possibly) become my Swoop, if I ever learn the ability to freeze time, or at least slow time down a bit, so that I have ENOUGH time to start the project. But the main item for me was blue RiD Prowl! To add to my ever growing Prowl collection! With the Sam's Club I'm getting from the splendid Mr Ayres, I don't need so many now!

Recon Barricade. He has a Christmas sort of feel in regards to his colours. They would have made a great santa and elf combination if Hasbro did Holiday Edition TFs like they've done with Star Wars.

Picked up Movie Bumblebee this weekend (the concept Camaro version). He was one of the movie toys that was on the cusp as to whether I bought them, and I found I had a bit of money spare in the budget so I decided to pick him up. He's not bad - vehicle mode is quite a nice job and he has decent articulation in humanoid mode. Do like the fact that his cannon folds out into a decent attempt at a Katar. Even in the movie Bumblebee never struck me as someone whose style was particularly stabby-stabby but it is a nice unusual option to go for in terms of armament.
Now, if I could just work out how on earth the arms go to get him back into vehicle mode. (Wish Hasbro would do something about their fairly woeful instructions sometimes).

I believe I remarked onnthis when I reviewed him - it's a pain going to car mode ! Basically the yellow upper arm panels want to be pointing toward the back of the car, with the arms bent and the top of the hands pointing down.

It is indeed a bit of a pain - I've got the rest of it down pat, but then got to the arms and thought.... this makes no sense..... Ta for the tip. I shall give that a go and see if I can get it to work out. Karl

I bought a Diaclone Slag today. Superb condition, with the weapons and little blokey, for just £20.
(I didn't notice that he also had the Diaclone Snarl until someone else bought him - I wouldn't have wanted to spend that much anyway and I thought Slag was the nicer of the two. He also had the red-faced Slag variant but I passed on that as it was twice the price in a lesser condition.)

Nigel- who is this glorious person selling Diaclone Dinobots cheap? I know he doesn't have any left now, but he might be worth keeping an eye on in future.

It's you, Nick. You from the future. You came back through the screaming barriers of time itself to bring cut-priced Diaclone Dinobots to us all. Only that way can the apocalypse be prevented. You bring hope to those who have none!

I finally picked up an Ultimate Bumblebee at the weekend along with a Leader Megatron. I still haven't liberated Bumblebee from his cardboard prison yet as I think it's the best looking box I've seen in a long time, but he will be freed tonight. As for Megatron, his robot mode is fine, even if it does have a lot of kibble. I knew his jet mode was naff just by looking at it, but what makes it worse is the transformation, it's horrendous. The legs in particular are very hard to position correctly and the automorph feature only hinders rather than helps the process. The Voyager version is much better.
I also got my Leader Brawl a few weeks ago courtesy of Nick, who noticed that I was drooliing all over the table when he put him on the table at ScotCon. A very nice toy indeed in both modes with a good transformation.
Oh, and on a side note, I also snagged a Marvel Legends Planet Hulk on the same day as Bumblebee and Megatron!

Nigel- who is this glorious person selling Diaclone Dinobots cheap? I know he doesn't have any left now, but he might be worth keeping an eye on in future. -Nick It's a bloke from Swansea called Morgan. He used to sell at the local comic fairs regularly but hasn't done one for a few years, since the demand for Transformers suddenly dropped off. (Remember the bandwagon-jumping a few years ago, around the time Dreamwave were at their peak? Once that stopped having a positive effect on sales....) He was selling at the same Star Wars fair in Cardiff as me yesterday becuase, paraphrasing his words, he had accumulated stuff in the house and couldn't be bothered to put it on eBay. He mostly had Star Wars but also some Dinobots and a boxed Ultra Magnus. Morgan tended to sell at the higher end of the market - complete toys, rare variants, non-UK releases, the odd prototype. I had my Whirl from him, a couple of American Pretender shells, Clones and the Generations book. I don't know how much he sells these days, but if I remember correctly he sells on eBay as mrthursdaynight.

I had a bit of a splurge on Friday, as I had a money-off voucher for Toys R Us: Both T.E.C.H. (well, I like them), three Real Gear - Power Up VT6, Speed Dial 800 and Longview - and a packet of wrapping paper. I also had the Bumblebee alarm clock (half price in Debenhams), a kids' T-shirt from Woolworths and pyjamas and Chain Keyring from M&S.

I picked up Real Gear Robot Zoom Out 25X just before Christmas and was pleased with it. When designing the head though, it looks like someone has been watching Centurians and gave him the look of Doc Terror.
