Bredrin,
Will I get customed up the shitter, by a package coming by UPS? Will the customs fascists still get their hands on it?

I had completely forgotten I had ordered Encore Cassettes Big Mission pack 2 a month or so ago until a ransom demand turned up today(as if I need any more stuff after AA!). That's 2 for 2 at this address. GRRRRR.
I go to bend over and crap out £11.89 on Saturday morning.

I was reading a forum about this the other day and it does seem much like the bank charges, Parcel Force are breaking the law but the rules are so unclear until they are challenged in court and cleared up they aren't breaking the law. Arguing with them does seem worth while though as it seems they can't be bothered to disagree.

CUTA fees seem to always be 20 quid no matter what. It was 20 quid for a Botcon figure I bought (where the seller jacked up the price on the customs slip, THANKS ) but on the other hand, it was 20 quid for Rescue Force Mountain. It's all a scam really, isn't it. Especially the 8.00 clearance fee.

Other half and I are both waiting on stuff we ordered separately from HLJ to the same flat... But since it's been coming on 3 weeks, we're worried Customs have got their hands on them. Argh.
Also, I'll never use UPS and Fed-ex internationally because of how they charge customs fees... They automatically pay them on your behalf to HM Customs, even when it's on a non-taxable item like books (which is why I can't use Amazon Japan until I'm back in Japan again)! And then they demand the money off you later.
EDIT: Just remembered why it was so aggrevating; if they mistakenly charge you a customs fee, it costs £30 to get the fee reassessed. Don't remember if that's HM Customs, or Fed-Ex, but either way it's a pain.

Little tip if you are ordering from HJL....... something i spotted by chance is that if you are ordering more than 1 of the same item they only put it as the value of 1 item. Eg: I once ordered 3x movie deluxe bumblebee at about 2000 yen each. All 3 in the parcel was technically 6000 yen (£42 ish) but as it was the same figure they only put 2000yen on the customs. I also used SAL as it's cheaper shipping, but yeah anything over about 3000 yen declared on their forms and i usually get charged.
Highest amount I've ever had sneak thru without charges was $150. Something that used to happen (don't now if it still does) was that if the Green Customs forms were used (CN22) I hardly ever got charged.... so after a spotted this I usually asked ones to use the green customs forms and then i hardly ever got charged.
Just bought myself a Beast Wars Returns Rattrap from Toy Wiz at $56. They clearly say they declare full value so i know I'm gonna get bent over and ploughed for that one :-(

Being ploughed Should not be allowed Least not by HM Customs Though we have been accustomed.
