I blame Nick. Was he not travelling when this package entered the country?

You want me to drop a meteorite on Parcel Force HQ? I know they're rip-off merchants but that seems a bit extreme.

Placed my order for Green Giant a week ago. EMS from Japan is usually 3-4 days. Don't know what it is from Hong Kong but I assume it's something similar.
I fear the beast has been... customised.

Well, a big box wrapped up in green waxed paper arrived this morning. Inside the paper was a cardboard box. Inside the box was a thing wrapped in bubblewrap. Inside the bubblewrap was Maketoys' Green Giant giftset. Inside the giftset was another plain cardboard box. Inside the second plain box was a plastic tray with the actual toys on it.
I'm ecstatic that it arrived customs-free, but digging down through all these layers made me wonder what the relative carbon footprints are of the actual toys I'm buying vs the packaging.

Oh yeah- the four Target Shooters I got from Capturedprey came to £26 plus £10 postage, plus £7.25 VAT and an £8 clearance fee. CUTA added 42% to the price, increasing the cost of each figure from £9 each to £12.81.
I know the country's in debt up to its eyeballs and we need to maximise every potential revenue stream, but 42%?
