Cyberverse Blackout & Scorponok
Blackout's had a few Movie versions over the years, and as one of the larger Movie Decepticons gets a Cyberverse Commander version quite quickly. He's fairly similar to the larger Blackout toy, the major difference being the whoulders sweep back and to the sides here instead of being flush with the body. Like all Cyberverse legion toys he has c-clip hands, but his weapon is more inventive than most of the toys so far: Possibly taking a que from Voyager Blackout's remould Evac but almost certainly a nod to Action Master Devastator's partner Scorpulator his weapon is formed from Scorponok, his partner. Fold Scorponok's head back to reveal a gun barrel and hold using the 3mm peg underneath. That by itself is enough to sell the toy to some people. And Me. His artculation isn't bad: foot & heel spur are hinged at the ankle so you can bring them closer together to raise his height. There's a swivel bellow the bending knee, putty like ball jointed hips, more ball joints at the shoulder, a bending elbow and a swivel bellow the elbow.
Transformation: Fold the chest up. Pull the arm back to unfold the shoulder to form the side of the helicopter. Rotate the forearm out 90 degrees and then bend the arm so the forearm becomes the tail halves. Swing the rotor blade back. Fold the foot onto the front of the leg & heel spur onto the back. Rotate each leg in so the feet are against each other. Bend the knees and slot the sides of the foot into the back of the helicopter. Close the sides of the helicopter & tail round the feet. Spread the rotor blades.
It's not a bad smaller model of Blackout's helicopter mode but the look is spoilt a little by the silver c-claw hands protruding through the rotor blades. Scorponok can be clipped under the tail either as a scorpion or a weapon.
Decent Cyberverse toy, well worth a look expecially if you can find it for a fiver.
Repaints
Voyager Blackout's two repaints Evac and Whirl would be nice.
