See the Back Issue Joy thread. I did not bring much cash with me and wish I had for there was a bucket of Alpha Flight from start to finish of the original run! I shall return on Saturday and see what is left!

From Twitter:
'oxfambooksEH10 Oxfam Books EH10 Thanks to everyone that came to our comic sale tonight, we raised over £300!'
That's pretty good, considering it was mostly modern comics rather than ye olde and a much csmaller crows than at the Newington sale. Huzzah.
Which remind me, I need to raid the Newington shop again. Much goodness probably remains.

Burns is on site. But Disaster/CURSE OF NICK Has Struck! The Kaptain has got lost !! Say... temporarily misplaced - Nick's shockwave propogating forward in time caused Edinburgh to fold itself around me like a recursive occlusion. Took me a while to thread my way out of it... Then he pipped me to X-Men/Micronauts! Damn it! -Ralph It called to me. "Bye-me, bye-me, it said" Karl

So we both have a copy and Burns doesn't? How sad.

I blame Andu. He was probably sending hate waves in my direction.

Visited this too. In a stereotype reversal of the 6 or so people browsing at first I was the only man! It seemed unusual but very welcome to have such a high percentage (OK, from a very small sample) of female comics fans.
It was indeed mainly modern runs but I got a couple of Batman graphic novels, a few random selections of Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman etc and also DC's summer event from 2004, Identity Crisis. I read it today and have to say I really enjoyed it, was nice having a DC "event" where the entire super-ultra-multiverse is not under threat and there are not around 706 3-issue tie-in miniseries associated with it,
