And there is a big comics sale the night before, at 5:30pm at the Nicholson Rd branch with the remaining being sold at the comics event next day. Sorry, Andu, I must remove back issues for your own good. -Ralph

Unsurprisingly, I ain't going to be able to make this. I have resolved to head to Aberdeen next month with some folks to see wrasslin' - and must save the cash I would no doubt splurge on issues of GEN 13 or something.

Regrettably I won't be able to make it either, I have a prior engagement with the East Fortune airshow on Saturday so won't be back from North Berwick till the back of six I suspect. A shame, last years event sounded really good and I would have liked to have gone this year. Ah well, perhaps next year.

Oh, there was shedloads of stuff including boxes full of runs of just about everything. The full run of Frank Miller's Daredevil stuff sold before it touched a shelf and a bloke was being taken round the back to look at the complete run of Legion of Super Heroes.
There were boxes of mixed loose comics at various prices, boxes just of runs of minis (complete ones) and A-Z boxes, ie ones for Green Lantern only or Avengers only or Firestorm only, etc.

Picked up a bundle of good stuff - mainly Titans, some Huntress, Power Girl and Batman too. Shop was packed! I am sure they deservedly made a fair bit of cash!

They were raking it hand over fist! I do approve of Oxfam book shops: plucked many a bargain comic/book from them over the years. Tis why when I clear out books/comics they get my excess.
I wonder what will be left at the comics event tomorrow at McDonald Road Library...

Were they all like 10p each? If so, score! If not, at least it was for charity.

Not as low as 10p, as the point was to make money for Oxfam but plenty of good deals to be found!
And it's not over yet for there is another comic sale at the Morningside Oxfam Bookshop on August 3rd...

Oh dear. So I had to go online to pick up Furman Northstar #2 & 3, Cyberspace 3000 #6, Captain Britain #4 and Knights of Pendragon II #8 so I could read the full runs.
But then madness descended. Battle Tide*, Battle Tide II*, Death's Head II Gold, Death's II & Die-Cut #1 and #2 on their way. I had no joy with finding other issues of Dark Guard other than the #1 in the cupboard.
I need to be banned from money.
-Ralph
*I have owned these terrible (yet pretty) series twice before.
