I've been trying to access it for 25 minutes. I am close to a Falling Down moment as I need to check something.

Are you with yahoo or BTyahoo? I sometimes find switching to 'classic' mail helps when there are glitches.

I've not been having any issues this evening, but I haven't been online much of the evening so it may be that I just missed the outage.

Howdy, chums. Yahoo Mail has 'upgraded', but I am now having trouble with some functions. If anyone else is using Yahoo Mail do you know how to the following:
-Previously, when replying to a message I could edit it and reply to it line by line if I wished, entering text under any part of the original message. Now, when I hit reply the original message is shunted in it's entirely to the bottom of the dialogue box and anything I type appears at the top which makes it difficult for me to reply in the way I would like. There is probably a very simple way for me to carry on as before. Anyone know how? Thanks.

I'd suggest clicking the "Switch to plain text" button at the top right of the text box, then you should be able to edit it more freely. I've been having a few problems with the new Yahoo Mail - unresponsive buttons, trouble sending/deleting e-mails, etc. I'm not a fan. Martin

Beware! The new yahoo mail automatically signs you into an instant messenger program (which I never asked for). Kept getting annoying messages from people I did not know until I figured out how to switch it off.

No, I just want a mail client - but this seems to be a difficult concept for them to comprehend at times.... Karl

The more I use it the more it becomes obvious yahoo have taken something which wasn't broken and have broken it.

It seems to have spontaneously reverted to the original, far superior, version on my end. Huzzah!

Learnt how to change back to the old Yahoo Mail - hurrah!
(It involves changing screen resolution to 800x600 and then logging in - it doesn't like it and offers to switch you back to Yahoo Mail Classic. But the trick doesn't work on all browsers.)

It now seems permanently switched to old yahoo for my main email and I did nothing! I'm not complaining. New Yahoo was so bad I was contemplating the hassle of using a different provider.
Strangely, it's stuck to new yahoo for the addy I use for paypal. On the same browser!
