While browsing the pre-owned section of GAME at the Glasgow Fort, I noticed that TF2:ROTF for the PS3 was priced at £7.99.
Knowing that elsewhere, the same game was selling for between £25-£40 - I snagged it up. After a bit of arguing with staff who said it was a pricing error - I got it for a grand total of £5.48 (using my GAME reward card which had some credit on it)
Having played 30% of the Autobot campaign, I feel that I paid roughly what the game is worth. It's a functional 3rd person shooter with extremely poor design choices throughout. It's got some fun features - and I'm looking forward to getting the DLC for the G1 character skins- but I can't recommend getting it for any more than £10.

I actually just finished the Autobot campaign over the weekend, it was enjoyable enough, but I did prefer the first game. Finding it hard to work up the enthusiasm to finish the Decepticon campaign though. To be honest the difference the skins, or indeed what character you are at all, make is minimal.

I've played the first game a bit and thought it was pretty terrible. Great graphics and transforming feels good but most of the missions were tedious. Plus the robots in disguise element is thrown out of the window in about 30 seconds of the Autobot campaign.

Yeah, in any kind of fuctional, realistic approach the Autobot campaign was out of the window in the first game. That's marginally improved in the second but that's more to the nature of the film than any kind of game development. On the other hand the Decepticon campaign where the first mission was literally cause as much damage as possible... realistic and fun!

Yeah I liked the first Decepticon mission as it mirrored the film quite well. Very satisfying. I quickly gave up once it got the the 'blow 5 things up that are really far away from each other within an arbitary time limit' missions.
Also I killed quite a few people and destroyed many buildings as an Autobot. Its really difficult to maintain those high morals when you are against the clock!

I bought this for the Wii brand new for £15 from Blockbuster on Wednesday, and after only playing it for an hour or so then, and a few hours tonight I have completed it already.
The Wii version doesn't have the separate campaigns combining them into one, and very annoying it's a game called Transformers where with teh exception of Sideways and Starscream, you cannot transform. It was nice to look at and some nice voice work and cut scenes, but the actually game play was bland, and there was a severe lack of characters.
I saw Gamestation were selling it for £35 in store, so I will be taking it down town over the weekend to see if I can get my money back or at least most of my cash back by trading it in.

Sounds like the Wii has made a fairly substandard game even worse. I'd never get a multi format game on the Wii if I had other options.

The only reason I bought it was that I needed a new game to play as I only have Wii Sports, FIFA 08 and Mario Kart. I couldn't find any game I wanted, so settled for ROTF. Considering that I paid £15 for it brand new 2 days ago, my trade in quotes were:
Gamestation £6 Games Centre £12 Grainger Games £11
I would have traded it in at Games Centre or Grainger Games, but the problem was that there are no Wii games that I really want, that aren't out of my price range just now. I will put it on ebay and see if I can find a game I want after new year.

I've also got tons of recommendations for Wii game - most of which you should be able to get on the cheap if you are interested.

Nope I live in Kilmarnock. There are a few Grainger Games in Scotland I believe, one of which is here.
I am not a big games player these days, but any recommendations are very welcome.
