A communication has been recieved from Toy Fu high command. A clear profit of £1,150.00 ! I'm sure Nick will be along shortly to remind us where that goes but well done chaps. I believe there is some stuff to be auctioned off on the eBay shortly so this total may rise. Especially since it includes a rather large item.... Photos of what helped make the money can be found here

True. But he was my contribution to Toy Fu this year. It was him or the unopened Multiforce set!

The total will be a little higher than that as Nick didn't take into account that I had not spent the whole of my budget on stock.
So good news there.
Sadly Hoist failed to sell for £6000 as we had all hoped.
Toy Fu was a mental experience this year. 9.30 till about 11.30am on Saturday was non stop. Nothing could stop the feeding frenzy. Gobots, Power Rangers, Rock Lords and even Transformers all fell into grasping hands.

You sold an SCF Demolishor? That makes a grand total of One sold ever! We put a fiver on it for a gag and it sold within 15 mins. It was mad this year. It felt like we could sell thin air if need be. Early Saturday was particularly mental. I was 'free with every purchase' at one point. Hur hur. -Ralph

I do not run Toy-Fu (I am merely a helper monkey) but feel it is right to thank everyone for their kind custom and good spirits at AA 2011. However, a special place in Hell for the chap who dipped Toy-Fu for a fiver. I hope you enjoy stealing from charity, scumbag. A special place in Cybertron for all the lovely people who made additional donations to Toy-Fu. That's extra cash for t.co/MQfI8R6Nick did really well this year and Bogatan also had procured many lovely items. -Ralph

It was a top table as could be evidenced by the organisers demanding it be covered up on Friday cos it was getting more attention than the official activities.

Yeah poor Karl we all left him by himself just as the hall opened on Friday. I can only imagine. T'was an interesting experience. I knew then that we were going to do well on the Saturday just from the amount of interest we were getting - and the fact that it was far less concentrated anjd more spread across the stock than I had anticipated . (And I think Billy was probably surprised with the alacrity with which I agreed to his request to cover the table when I was approached). What surprised me was not that we did well on the Saturday - although that was unbelievable, the first hour and a bit we had five pairs of hands behind the stand and still didn't really have enough folk - but that we continued to do well on the Sunday, even shifting a few big ticket items that I figured would go on Saturday or not at all. I too am only a helper-drone on Toy-Fu but I would like to second the thanks to everyone who made a purchase from Toy-Fu this year. You all helped us to raise a great sum for a worthy charity. (I believe that we were all up for sale for various amounts this year, and I think that we were considering whether we might be selling the table-cloths at one point). Karl

I feel guilty in that I *didn't* buy anything from the Toy-Fu stall! Although looking at Phil's pics I see there was a Computron there early - gutted to miss that!
Huge congrats tho, on the amount raised - fantastic job. :-)

An update from Nick elsewhere: Paid in the Toy-fu money this afternoon. Factoring in costs and expenditures, we made 6207.90, which means I owe Mary's Meals 1207.90. Less than last year, but we haven't heard back about the AA charity hauls yet and Fortress Maximus has yet to be sacrificed to eBay, which will happen once everybody gets paid at the end of the month. It's looking good! -Nick Top show chaps! I think Max might do rather well on eBay possibly even better than at AA. I wonder if holding off for a month or so to let collector's wallets recover might be an idea?
