This meets with my hearty approval, And may lead to my softcover removal. For I would prefer it nice and hard, As I hold 'Wreckers' in high regard.

A trade you can use to bludgeon Decepticons with is one worthy of the Wreckers!

A trade you can use to bludgeon Decepticons with is one worthy of the Wreckers! "Anythings a weapon." Hmm. Depending on what we've got in there it may well be worth double-dipping on. I'd kind of hope for a cover gallery with both sets of covers, that way I could shed the two sets of single issues I have cached in my TF comics pile. Karl

Interesting. Depending on what's in the extra pages I may have to swap the softcover for this.

Just got the softcover sign, but even so... I'd still have bought and kept both versions. I'm a completist when it comes to the good stuff.

As I never got issue 5 in the floppies, if this is a definitive all bonus material collected in one place I'll probably get it and move on the floppies and the softcover.

...of course, this is by no means the definitive edition of Last Stand of the Wreckers. That would need to be fed a willing soul to activate and it would be transmitted straight into your mind. And it would come with a free Frisbee.

Do I really need another copy of this story? I already bought both covers of each issue and the softcover trade.

The answer to that is probably "yes".

I am leaning towards the thought that for me the answer is probably no. A third parallel version is probably overkill, so unless I wanted to get it on an upgrade-and-replace it probably isn't worth my whole - and there are quite a few other single issue comics I could do with getting replacements for in trade (S.H.I.E.LD, Planetary, Excaliber to name just a few) that it is probably pretty far down the slate for an upgrade.
Might just skip the hardcover at this stage.

See, I DIDN'T buy the paperback because I basically never double-dip on something I got in individual form, but if we could get some more concrete info about what all these extra pages are going to contain, I'd be well tempted by this.

Even if people already have copies in multiple formats, it might be worth adding the hardcover to your Amazon wishlists. If people are going to feel obliged to drop £20 on you, then better it be for one of these badboys than toiletries, mainstream authors that just happen to have put a book out, or a novelty t-shirt that's four sizes out.
Edit: Or it would be if the blasted thing actually came out prior to Christmas! Has it been delayed or am I misremembering?

The Amazon UK page has been updated with scans of the hardcover edition. New material showcased in the previews include a preface by James Roberts, an addendum titled Out of Bullets' that provides additional material cut from the original text story, and some new* profile pages. * I don't recall seeing them in the previous editions, at least.

Also a new prose story by James called "Zero Point" and a two-page and a one-page comic story by Nick.
