Thanks to IDW going date and date with Transformers I've read Issue 25. We are back on Earth and the spotlight is back on the Spike storyline and I for one couldn't be less interested. Brendan Cahill on art for this, takes a slightly bolder line with the art, less finicky rendering and clearer storytelling. It's very welcome. Sadly he is saddled with a complete dud of a story.
The departure of Mike Costa cannot come soon enough for me.

Costa is still doing that thing of:
Panel 1: Character 1 says something to character 2. Panel 2: Character 2 replies. Panel 3: Character 1 replies.
Rather than fitting all of that into one panel. It's just....crap! Comics are not storyboards FFS!
I got confused by the numbering and ordered this thinking it was Chaos part 2. I will not be ordering more.
Don't hit the door on the way out, Mr Costa.

Every copy I received of #25 was damaged. The pages were stuck together, ink probably wasn't fully dry when they packed them at the printers, and trying to pry them apart just rips the pages. And Diamond don't have any extra stock to replace them.
Good thing it wasn't a good issue really.

Probably a whole batch affected then. Nice QC from IDW.

I'looked on IDW forums & didn't seem to have any mention there - unless its just the UK stock.

Mine did have a white mark at the bottom of each page but there wasn't any rips.

Yeah, that white mark was where the pages were stuck, but my ones seemed to be stuck pretty darn good. Most of the pages could be opened, leaving just the white mark, but a couple near the end of the story would rip.

Several of the copies in FP were stuck shut as well. I went through 7 or 8 of them before finding a copy that I thought was fine, but discovered that the area around the staples on every page was stuck together leaving the white mark.

Well that was dull and uneventful, the only good bit being Magnus saying Breakdown has "every reason" to want to kill Spike as if Magnus agrees that Spike is a horrible person.
When's the next Roberts-written issue?
