Ralph: Do not buy WFC Optimus Prime.
I will now authenticate this warning with the specially selected code words which will confirm what I'm saying to be true:
RID Ultra Magnus.
The full gory details will follow later....................

Does this mean that Prime is just a gigantic pair of legs with a tiny head on top?
Actually I love RID Magnus too, I bought him BEFORE Prime! :v

When I first read this thread, I thought he's okay, not that tricky. So I just transformed him back to vehicle mode for the first time (having used the instructions the one time previous) and yes, there are some fiddly little bits that will frustrate the unwary. Or Ralph.
Something I like about the Generations range is that Hasbro is now not just slapping the same skill level on all Deluxe figures. Thrust is 2 Easy, Drift is 3 Intermediate and both Prime and Bumblebee are 4 Advanced.

I actually like this guy, and had no trouble converting him without instructions. I found Bumblebee to be a bigger pain in my arse, tbh. I like them both, but I reckon Prime's the winner of this pair...

A question, if I may; I was just browsing BBTS and they list wave 2 of the Generations line as being released August time. Does anybody know how good or bad the chances are of being able to pick up Straxus and/or WfC Megatron at Auto Assembly will be?

I would say it's unlikely considering US relase is sometime in August and AA in the UK is mid-August. You never know, release dates can be variable, but I wouldn't hold your breath!

Bumblebee's okay as long as you slide the loop thingy on his back to the right place, otherwise you can't align the pegs and panels properly.

Aaargh! No! Straxus is only delux?! Sorry Size-police, but surely he should have been bigger?

Ian, I think Generations is wholly Deluxe.
If you compare the size of Op's head to his casemates', Drift and WFC Bumblebee, he could have done with being scaled up to Mega, if that size still existed.

I know size shouldn't matter, but it does to me. If a particular character isn't the 'right size' according to me, then it just doesn't satisfy me at all. Generations all delux, hu? Well, it'll work for the likes of Jazz and Tracks (very excited!), but Optimus and Straxus being the same size as Bumblebee?

Am I going to be able to pop into TRU at some point and pick up a WFC Optimus Prime? Or should I just get ordering online now?
Elliott.
