*turns to one side as if issuing orders into an unseen microphone*
Misa, you need to increase channelling power to 150%.
*disembodied voice comes over speakers*
"We don't know that the channelling device can manage that kind of power."
We're out of options. All power to the channelling device and hope for the best!
*the deep sound of engines in the background rises in volume and pitch*

I was the last one left in the library and getting funny looks from the staff who clearly wanted to go home, so I left and have returned to Burns Towers. I have had a nice unhealthy bag of chips and have purchased 2 litres of Pepsi Max. I have Indiana Jones soundtrack spooled up and ready to go.
7.5K. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I stuck in shitloads of Doctor Who references too, purely for my own amusement, including...
THE TRIAL OF A TIMELORD!
"This is the catharsis of spurious morality!"
Also, a reference to "making the beast with two backs", just because I doubt that has been done before.

Whew! That's good.
Don't worry about the farting - the excess channelling energies had to go somewhere. You've got 100 words' worth of energy that needed expending. Plus, I've only just read that you've finished, so I'll stop my Batmobile exhaust channelling now.
I hope you didn't suffer from a flame exhaust yourself, as that would almost certainly be down to me.

I have a job interview for a company in the middle of nowhere this afternoon. I'm not sure if I want to travel that far, but I'm also not sure what I'm going to do without it. Channelling for a clear head would be appreciated.

Well, aside from getting marooned in Edinburgh city centre for three quarters of an hour because my return ticket was only valid during off-peak times, it went pretty damn well. The bloke in charge of their "metabolic pathways" section (figuring out what happens to medicines, pesticides etc as they are broken down inside an animal and in which tissues the products settle and accumulate) said I was the most knowledgeable student he'd come across when it came to discussing my project work. The use of the word "most" implies three or more so I'll take it as a compliment The other fellas seemed content with my answers although the chief bloke seemed a bit confused about the nature of my M.Sci placement- which is a shame because I got the impression that was why I was there in the first place. That aside, the only real downside to the place is that it's in a field in the exact centre of NOWHERE about three miles from the nearest public transport links. Because of the massive taxi fare to get me there and back from Edinburgh Waverley it actually cost less for me to go to Birmingham by plane for AA2006 and back than it did to get to where I might be working by next month. -Nick
